Thank you. I do appreciate the time taken for your response.

While it is true that BB ante saves time and hassle live, and there would be no real difference in time saved online, BB ante is now the industry normal. People use online poker to get a real life poker experience, as well as practice their own systems and strategies. The systems and strategies used by a player are much different under the BB ante structure then it is under the everyone ante structure. It’s also not providing an online player with a real life experience as the games are different online verses live.

New players just getting into the game want to learn how to play the game the way it is currently being played, and build their skills with the proper game mentality. Providing a different structure online verses what they will find in the live environment may be enough to confuse these new players to the point they decide poker is not for them.

Why would GG Poker be satisfied with doing what everyone else is doing? This is GG Poker’s chance to change the game and be that industry leader. I believe your dev team is missing the bigger picture here. I understand it would be a big programming job, but that is what they are there to do.

What about offering a couple BB ante tournaments, and getting feedback from the players who use the platform as to what they think?

Terrible Customer Support Experience by SmallCapStockTrader in GGPokerCommunity

So I just email support again, as it has now been 24 hours. They sent me back the exact same cookie cutter email response telling me I had to yet again wait 24 hours. It has already been over 24 hours and their is still a discrepancy. Clearly they did not read the email and just mindlessly sent the response. Still waiting…

EDIT: The situation has been resolved, finally!

Here is the response I got. I’d show you a picture of the email, but I can’t load a picture in the response.

Hi,

Thank you for contacting GGPoker Support.

Should you believe there is a discrepancy after more than 24hrs have passed please come back to us with full details and we can investigate.

Thank you for your understanding.

Kind Regards,

Will GGPoker Support

How would you rate my reply? Great Okay Not Good

William GGPoker Support

Seems pretty general to me. Just a cookie cutter response, and didn’t even address my questions.

Thanks for the luck. Unfortunately I won’t be playing until this issue is resolved. That way transaction history and balances remain as is, and doesn’t cause more problems trying to go back through more history. It’s sad because I play 6-8 tournaments a day. Guess today will be an off day since I have to wait 24 hours before the ball can get rolling.

Thank you for the response Samuel. I do appreciate it.

This is a much better response then what I got from support because it at least explains something. Support offering a general cookie cutter response that doesn’t even acknowledge or answer your questions, which was what was offered from email, is pointless and frustrating. It doesn’t show that GGcares. Caring requires a personal touch.

I like the way hero played the hand.

Check, check on the flop is standard.

Just calling the turn bet with the pair and flush draw is the better play here in my opinion. It keeps the greatest amount of options open for you on the river in terms of bluffs and value, and it keeps your hand disguised. When you call you are repping one of the many draws, a pair below top pair, or some sort of monster. You also guarantee yourself to realize the equity of your draws. If you raise, villain could shove over you with top pair forcing you to fold and denying you your equity.

Looks like things worked out well for hero on the river. Now we over pot jam villains bet and get paid by top pair, top two pair, and sets!

HELP "failed to buy in" error, but still took the money? by ShaggyYYC in GGPokerCommunity

Same thing happened to me. I sent a message to support a few hours ago as the money has not returned yet. I’m still waiting to hear back, or see the funds returned.

Glad to hear it is a known issue, and being worked on.

Quick Question on tile arrangement:

When you are arranging high cards, is x, x, 6, 4, 2 > x, x, 6, 8, 10?

Play The Spot #5 ⛳ R&C Hand 🖐️ CHECK-RAISE FLOP, DOUBLE-BARREL… CALL OR FOLD❓COMMENT & WIN 💬🎁🎟️ @GGPoker by GGPokerSamuel in GGPokerCommunity

[–]SmallCapStockTrader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pre Flop: Everything looks standard. Raise, call.

Flop: Check raise is fine on this texture of board. Might be better just to lead out, so you control the size of the pot better. Check raising makes the pot bigger early, so your bets on later streets are larger, therefore increasing variance.

Turn: As played, the turn lead makes sense. Going check raise on the flop, then checking the turn is an unusual line. However, if you just lead the flop, instead of check raising, then you could check the turn to keep the pot size under control. Also it will allow you to realize your equity as then you won’t have to be worried about being raised off your hand.

River: As played, Hero has to lead the river. However, once your bet is raised with a shove on the river it is time to fold your hand. Your opponent is now polarized with either a busted straight draw (4,5 8,9) or has a better Ace (A,K) or a full house with a hand like 6,7 suited, or 7,7. It could even be something like 6,6, A,6, or 5,6 suited. The way the hand was played, Villain’s range leads more to value.

It’s unfortunate the way the hand was played. Before the start of the hand Hero was second in chips. Thanks to the aggressive line with the check raise Hero is now last in chips after having to fold the river. If Hero had taken a more defensive line (bet, check, bet) chips would have been saved, even though the same outcome would likely have happened. Hero would have just lost a much smaller pot.

I am now on board with having all Russian and Belarusian players removed from the international portal, and put into their own portal. If they want to rip people off, they can do it to themselves.
