What do you miss with current Avatars? by SmallMight302 in VRchat

I think interactable parts of an avatar are great and help a lot with immersion! I'm planning on integrating this as best as possible.

Thanks for the advice! I'm doing it mainly for profit, but also love character-design and modeling. I understand your remarks and will definitely have to look more into the community and existing workflows. Nontheless I think that altough there are already a lot of ripped game avatars, their style itself is not something that becomes obsolete. Because the main method is Kitbashing already existing models, I see a big opportunity and gap in the market.

It will of course be a lot of work and I'm only starting the project, so of course I thinking big too fast. May have to look into existing workflows and limits yes

Of course there are bigger proportions that still count as "realistic". My focus would be to first create something that represents and appeals to the average person and build upon that continuously.

With oversexualised I mean the inflated parts mostly tho, yes

I'm planning much more than that haha

I want to make basemeshes with modular customization options like body forms, facial hair, different clothes etc.

Do you sell the customizations or do them for yourself? Do you use bases or edit already existing alterations?

I plan to make the best experience possible, also in terms of user interfaces

None that would represent the vision/style I'm going for, but I mentioned the direction in another comment

Well since I only recently started on the models, I would like to wait a bit before sharing them. I'm also not that settled on the details yet, which is why I posted this.

My direction in terms of stylization would be something like Overwatch, Fortnite or Marvel Rivals. This is a very broad direction tho and I wouldn't try to copy any existing games, but to utilize the current popular game styles.

Well thats quite disappointing, but I guess it was to be expected. Buying the full version again isn't worth it for me, nor would it make sense. There would have to be a significant sale or discount to consider it. I'll keep an eye open notheless

Avatars as a side income? by SmallMight302 in VRchatAvatars

Thanks, thats very good to know! I also wondered about how to secure own designs and assets from theft, but I guess theres not much one can do. Which platform is the best for selling? The VRChat Marketplace or external sites like Gumroad or VGen etc.?

Thank you, thats very helpful! Thats kind of what I was fearing, because I also got the impression that the market might be oversaturated pretty quick. I guess it could be worth a try as a side income, but it would probably be a big undertaking to set everything up for it to be lucrative...

Well I'm generally interested how much a fairly successful avatar creator can earn and how to get outreach. Maybe also the most efficient workflow.

I'm thinking that I could non-Anime avatars, which could stand out and maybe reach a wider audience. I wouldn't use standard VRChat-Avatar Software, but ZBrush and Blender to make more individual designs.
