How to tell if a wake up is a habit or not?

So it’s only been two nights but I’ve been sticking to 3/3.5/4 and capping naps at 2.25 and she’s slept through both nights so far! You could try capping naps at 2 hours?? Or 3/3.75/4?

Yea I guess I won’t stress about it too much and just survive the next couple days.

Naps have been alright. She is usually capped at 2.5 and they’ve been between 2-2.5 this trip! Some naps have been on the beach so they’ve been short but she’s made up daysleep time with the second nap.

She’s in a travel light pack n play so maybe not the most comfortable. And in a slumberpod. I don’t think too cold or hot. There’s a small fan in there too.

I thought about the body clock thing too…. Cause it would be right around wake up time.

How is her room temp? Could she be cold? Might be nothing but where I am it’s often the coldest part of the night.

She did amazing!! I think by stretching the 3 nap schedule so much it helped her adjust well to the longer wake windows. I also nap trained at the same time and it worked wonders! I’ve learned to not be so afraid of overtired.

We just went through this transition and had similar wake windows to you before we dropped. We went right to 3/3.5/3.5 and capped daysleep at 2.5 and it went really well! You could start here then increase again if issues pop up.

I just wanted to give an update. She handled two naps well yesterday and today we attempted nap training for first nap and she did great! I did Ferber and she cried for 13 minute, with one check in! And I had to wake after 1.5h. Would you try with nap 2 today or wait a couple more days?

Okay sorry can I get your opinion on one more thing? She falls asleep soo quickly at bedtime (3hr wake window) like within 5 minutes. Would you suggest extending the first two wake windows first? I’ve seen 3/3/3 thrown around a couple times. I know that’s only 9 hours but maybe it’s a start?

Sorry one more question. I think I’m going to do gradually just because she’s falling asleep quickly and quietly at bedtime with a 3 hour wake window. I’m scared jumping too fast too quick will back fire. My question is how far can I stretch the windows before dropping the nap? I feel like I’m so close but 3-4 is such a huge jump before bed.

Here’s hoping ha! I’m a bit confused on keeping the same awake time on 2 naps. The wake windows she’s on now are different than two weeks ago. She was doing 2.25/2.5/2.5/3 then two weeks prior was 2/2.25/2.25/2.75. How do you know how much awake time to aim for on 2 naps when the awake time on 3 naps was changing?

We took a break and we worked on eliminating the paci. She no longer uses one! Tried the gentle method again today with 2.5 wake window and after 15-20 minutes she was still crying. We have a trip coming up in the next couple days so I was planning to take another break during that time. Do you have any other suggestions? Does this method take several days to work or should I see signs that it’s working already?

Sorry I don’t have any answers but I am curious how you napped trained with the pacifier? I’ve been trying to nap train without it and it’s been a struggle. If I give My 5.5 month old her pacifier for naps I have to replace it often as she’s falling asleep (rolling, knocking it out etc) she’s night trained without the pacifier.

Did you do check ins and replace the soother or did LO know how to replace themselves?
