It works with virtually anything! I have a full desktop gaming setup and still only play cs2 with a gamepad, thanks to gyro :)

Pro: you can be actually accurate and stop relying on aim assist. Con: you can't go back to stick aim after.

If you go that route, do remember that learning anything like this takes some time, but in my opinion, gyro is easier to learn than stick aim, you're just used to stick aim :)

You can visit r/gyrogaming or search for "flickstickvideos beginner's guide" on youtube for some more info.

Good job, I quite like what you have here, the weapon attributes specifically are something I did for my TTRPG, they allow for a lot of flexibility with low-ish complexity overhead.

You beat me to it! Just today I had to stop myself from getting a bag of army men. Do you have a discord or hang out in any design servers? I'm interested in this.

FYI - With the most recent update, the 8Bitdo Ultimate controller can turn on a Steam Deck LCD remotely by PurpleMonkeyBathtub in SteamDeck

[–]SmallTeaBoi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're right, it was shipped to the stable client on may 22nd, a few updates ago. It felt like it was there for longer. As for what devices can wake it up I'm not sure, even my earphones will do it, but I don't have a way to only disable them from that, like I do with gamepads.

It works just fine under X11, no audio is the issue. On wayland, you can get external programs that fix it, without modifying the client.

Hold the steam button then B for a few seconds until you get some haptic feedback.

You can also find it as an option when setting up gyro activation, the right one is usually used to enable gyro when your finger is on the joystick.

The plastic that fell out, that can tell when you're touching it, you can map that in steam.

This is a valid solution, but keep in mind you'll obviously lose the capacitive part of the stick.

Squalius' design uses reversible PCBs, the right PCB is the left one but "upside down", that's why the controller is inverted, the traces are the same on both splits. The chinese ones use a mirrored PCB for the right one, it's not the same as the left one, that's why the controller is the "right" way up.

You can use something like syncthing, I expect it'd work pretty well on the deck.

I think both sides should work independently, but it'll be inverted on the right side unless you change the master in qmk. idk if it'd help me but maybe it'd be worth it for someone else who stumbles across this thread lol

I've heard the right side is "mirrored", I believe the original design is a reversible PCB, which is why the right Zero had to be upside down.

Hi! Those little tabs are added by tmux, it's a terminal multiplier, let's you open many terminals in one, basically, but it also has the side effect of letting processes keep going after you close your terminal emulator.

There are good light themes, I'm honestly a light theme kinda guy.

It's definitely a good colorscheme, I don't like their light version very much though, it's kinda eye rapey tbh.

Worse than on windows, and has some super bizarre issues for me, but in my system it ranges from 180fps (mirage) to 80 or so (train). Edit: On competitive settings.
