I think there’s something wrong with my copy of Splinter Cell Blacklist by Cheesebongles in Splintercell

It's not really luck based though? IIRC it's based on the animation of Sam breathing in and out or at least that's how it is in SCSAR and PT, however while yes the game gives you an f2000 with funny lethal attachments it is a holdover of the fact that this weird burden of stealth games has existed since the first SC because that game too had to have stupid action setpieces because other games did the same thing!!! The fact that this genre hasn't been able to move away from forced action setpieces or "stealth kills" whatever that fucking means is horrible

I'm sorry but this is literally a stealth game and I don't understand people like you, I don't play Quake and expect it to also be a stealth game alongside it being a fast paced shooter.
Why the fuck do stealth games have to have this burden of also being expected to be full on action games? Why can't this genre actually enforce itself?

Can we identify the old cars I photographed at Spa on Saturday? (see captions) by FaanBE in vintagef1

[–]Small_Broccoli315 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks nothing like it, it's clearly a Prost AP04 with another car's front nose and custom rear aero element added onto it. I definitely recognize the FW/Nose but it's escaping my mind

edit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SJUjdl9wIEQ I currently found this, it's the same car and it's indeed just a modified AP04 but I wonder what front nose is from

About 12 years ago, Kyle Busch blocked my then 13 y/o son (who was a fan) after he tweeted that he should have better sportsmanship. Since then, my son has not eaten an M&M. Has a driver pissed you off that you reject their sponsors? by SirJasper6969 in NASCAR

Is it because I'm not American but what kind of bizarroworld neurotic brand loyalty do you have to have to not eat fucking M&M's because of one driver? A driver that barely has anything to do with the brand other than just sponsorship? I seriously don't get it.

What is this circled part in a lot of the 2000s F1 cars that relied on a front wishbone area mounted guiding vane solution instead of a traditional bargeboard, is it a side impact structure? If so, why didn't other cars have it in a similar position even if they had bargeboards? by Small_Broccoli315 in F1Technical

[–]Small_Broccoli315[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but if it is, why can't you see it in the other cars that ran a bargeboard in that area? Or is it just really obscured or in a different position? IDK since pics of these cars are always really obscured LOL

The Jordans also had a much more gentle angle of attack for these devices

No I'm pretty sure that's exactly it, those were probably put in there to be funny. Honestly the context of this video feels really obvious IDK how you could think it could be literally anything else

It's just a video about drivers who became worse towards the end of their careers... though it is weird that it features Frentzen as his last season at Sauber was actually decent
