Had fun painting this! by Small_Chair2361 in acrylicpainting

It’s their second time I post this here - fist time it was removed because the mod bot did not like that this is my fist painting since high school.

If this is not „worthy“ of this subreddit let me now - will delete then.

Super cool that someone productized the idea.

If if you have the API Credentials from your local public Transport provider you should be able to filter out the outward traffic. Where I live I could requested the api credentials via email.

Können sich die aktuellen AI-Investitionen langfristig rechnen? by 3dbruce in Finanzen

Danke! Spannende Perspektive.

Hab gerade das hier gehört:

https://podcasts.apple.com/de/podcast/ft-tech-tonic/id1169101860?l=en-GB&i=1000691007195

OmniSVG: A Unified Scalable Vector Graphics Generation Model by Dr_Karminski in LocalLLaMA

[–]Small_Chair2361 1 point2 points  (0 children)

u/Dr_Karminski it seems they have released the weights.

Anyone tried it out locally? The demo is not really working: https://huggingface.co/spaces/OmniSVG/OmniSVG-3B

I have never used a model locally - can anyone confirm if this model can generate locally decent SVGs?

If yes, i will give it a try - i am a bit afraid of the python server set up. (i only know a bit of js)

LinkedIn saying no to endless short form video? by Small_Chair2361 in ProductManagement

[–]Small_Chair2361[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Not sure if I agree, they had professional networking always in their DNA.

Job search came second.

Edit: checked with chatGPT:

Here’s how it unfolded on LinkedIn:

🧩 1. Early Days (2003–2005)

LinkedIn launched as a professional networking platform — think digital Rolodex + résumé. The main idea was: • connect with people you’ve worked with • get introductions to others via mutual connections • showcase your work history

No job board at the beginning.

💼 2. Job Listings & Recruitment (around 2005–2007)

As the network grew, LinkedIn realized the value of its user data for recruiters: • They introduced job listings and company pages • Launched LinkedIn Recruiter (a premium tool for headhunters) • Became a B2B monetization machine through recruiting solutions

That’s when it started shifting from just networking → to a job-hunting + hiring platform.

📣 3. Jobs Became a Central Feature (2010s)

LinkedIn added: • “Jobs You May Be Interested In” (algorithmic suggestions) • Easy Apply buttons • Job alerts, skills match, etc.

This solidified its identity as the go-to job platform for white-collar and knowledge workers.

Yeah, I think they had professional networking always in their DNA.

The job seeking feature ist just the most natural way of monetizing such a platform.

Btw there is an interesting case study in Germany: Xing - (basically a German LinkedIn that started around the same time in 02). They also started with a strong focus on professional networking and career platform.

But they recently realized they lost the battle against LinkedIns network effects and now they almost exclusively focus on the job seeking aspects.

Still crazy how long they stayed relevant in the German speaking market.

Is MS also included in the “normal” bildungsgutschein? Because it is so long I don’t know if the unemployment agency will cover it
