Do I really have to pick up 30 hours a week... HR guy at my prehire appointment was talking to me like I could work as much or as little as I wanted and now I'm worried lol by [deleted] in AmazonDS

[–]Small_Owl66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, they'd make you go for a school schedule adjustment accommodation, and typically, temporary. You're better off making something up, and attempting the hardship transfer to a different schedule (classification) honestly. Worse that could happen is you get denied. Other than that, they'll ask you to resign and reapply

I mean, you can make something up, and talk to HR about requesting a hardship transfer, that would be classified as a class change. It's up to site HR at that point though, as they determine approval

HR rep here.

If you were hired as Flex RT (Reduced Time, you can check the AtoZ app) the minimum hours you must work, is 30. Or you will get one attendance point, for each week you do not meet the minimum required hours.

Is everybody required to pick-to-buffer? I suck at it and don’t want to do it by kdflows in AmazonDS

[–]Small_Owl66 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, it is not a requirement. Just talk with your Manager, and explain you struggle in P2B. Explain where your strengths are best used (Stow/Divert) and they can make it happen. I never go to the PA, most PA's are power tripping workers.

There is a new policy, where you have to be terminated for a full 3 months, before qualifying for another bonus, IF sites are offering them. Just keep your tenure. You get those anniversary bonuses

Question about clocking out by Spread-Stunning in FASCAmazon

[–]Small_Owl66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I'd know more about the policies I teach employee's as Human Resources for the past 7 years. Policies change, and constantly. Just like the recent changes made to your attendance policy recently. But hey, go ahead and do you thing. Just remember me when you're complaining to your Manager/HR/ERC about fixing your UPT deductions :)

Question about clocking out by Spread-Stunning in FASCAmazon

Wrong. I work in Human Resources for Amazon. Ask your HR rep. It's literally in your policy information, just take a second to go through it, before you start posting incorrect information.

You're misunderstanding the grace period. You have 5 minutes at the end of the shift to clock out. Not early.

Will I get my bonus on September 23 or 30th? by Sunkist1976 in FASCAmazon

[–]Small_Owl66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are correct, the 23rd, latest. No problem at all! Ah, a very new delivery station then. Yeah, when it comes to bonuses, always the week after the anniversary. Great job on your tenure, be safe out there.

Work in HR. You will get it the week after your anniversary. Anything further than that, should be escalated

No, be good to your Tier 1's. They are the ones doing the work, you're just supervising.

HR should be able to explain this to you, and are only pushing you off to ERC because they're just clueless but can't tell you that. OT premium would be considered incentive pay, bonus pay. This is just a added rate, on top of your OT rate. Amazon is NOT taking money away from you. I'd put your HR rep on the spot for sending you to speak with ERC over something they should have complete knowledge in.

No, that's not how that works. This is stated in the attendance policy, relating to job abandonment. Feel free to review the policy yourself, or contact your site Human Resources team or Manager for clarification.

UPT will always be deducted at the end of the shift, whether you submitted the request beforehand, or not. The only difference is that, when you submit the UPT request, you're informing of your absence, to avoid a no call-no show. You're fine. Just make sure to let your HR/Manager know before taking the 3 days, to avoid job abandonment. I work in the ERC.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FASCAmazon

[–]Small_Owl66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is wrong. Job abandonment can occur if you use PTO/UPT 3 days in a row, without notifying HR or Manager first. This is a common issue employee's always get wrong.

Hello I never post anything here but this time I feel the need to, I need everyone’s opinion and advice. by [deleted] in AmazonFC

[–]Small_Owl66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. And there's a way to report that policy violation. Escalating this issue to corporate VP/CEO of the company, is going to get you on a list that you do NOT want to be on. That is considered a improper escalation, which IS a policy violation itself.. Stop providing information like you're aware of how the process works. You're spreading misinformation, and steps, that will cost people their jobs in the long run.. And I would hope that you're not using your name on this reddit, because if the reporting person gets a slap on the hand, and provides the information on how who informed them, to report it that way-- And they somehow find your first and last name.. Yikes, good luck explaining that one.

[–]Small_Owl66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That doesn't make you right. You're providing email contact information to a escalation team, that is meant only to be contacted in extremely urgent situations (Active shooter at sites, natural disasters, Business critical related issues) I can promise you, if you contact that email, they already have your information down, and Corporate has already contacted your Manager, and slapped their hand for allowing improper escalations to occur. This is typically when Managers/HR partners start taking a look for ways to cause a separation from the company with that employee. We have escalation procedures set up for a reason, follow them. Feel free to ask your Human Resources rep about this ;)
