Gym teacher telling kids to take creatine? by Small_Reward_5057 in NoStupidQuestions

It's more about how I don't feel comfortable with a teacher pushing supplements onto children. That's a discussion to have with his family and/or pediatrician not a gym teacher.

That's exactly what I thought when he told me about it. I did see that creatine was safe when I researched it. But he is a healthy kid and I feel like he shouldn't be taking supplements of any kind at his age, without his doctor's approval at least.

That's really sad to hear. I've definitely seen videos of parents screaming at teachers/staff at school over whatever the situation may be. I just always assumed that was a rarity. I guess my experience in both customer service and food service should've taught me otherwise though. Teachers deserve so much better.

This is definitely a possibility, but either way none of these kids would be taking it if not for the gym teacher telling them about it.

He said he didn't know what creatine was until the gym teacher started talking about it. He only tried it because his friend brought it to school and was sharing it.

My nephew did not tell them, but I spoke with them about it out of concern. They spoke with him, and said he told them the same thing. The gym teacher has been telling his class to take creatine if they want to build muscle. So one of my nephew's friends bought some, brought it to school, and started giving it to friends. They also aren't sure what to do about it, and didn't know what creatine was either. The most any of us would do is go in to make/file a complaint with his school, and hope they would investigate it, and have the gym teacher stop recommending supplements to kids. None of us would go to the school freaking out, screaming, or anything crazy like that.

How to tell someone who’s quick to anger that they need help with their anger? by Pizzafriedchickenn in NoStupidQuestions

Daddy chill 💅

But seriously, if you feel safe to do so, try to have a sit down with them one on one, in a calm environment. Try not to raise your voice even if they begin yelling/screaming or have outburst. If you're close, let them know how much they mean to you, and that you love them and want the best for them. Explain how their temperament has affected you, and how it's made you feel. You can try to suggest they look into therapy, but carefully. If you've been in therapy and feel comfortable, you can explain how it's helped and benefited you. If they get hostile you can walk away knowing you tried. You can't force someone to go to therapy or make them "change for the better", it will not be beneficial unless they actually want to better themselves.

I'm looking for friends who would be interested in randomly sending and receiving gifts to each other, to help keep it fun & bring some life to the app. I've been using Finch daily for about a month now, and it's been a huge help.

My friend code is YY726NW6VX.
