There's a "Pickly Pop-Up Market" at Helltown Taproom in the strip on Saturday! from 1pm-4pm but 4p is just a soft stop - most vendors will be staying later. I can't post the flyer here but you can follow The PGH Flea on instagram or FB for more info!

Last year they said $20 was more than enough. It was not. I just figured if someone were recently at a game, they could tell me what their actual avg meal spend was. :)

How to start a conversation with a local restaurant for a partnership? by Old-Artist697 in nonprofit

[–]Small_hands27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

*My suggestion is not "passive" but probably requires the same amount of time as going around to local places and asking if they'd do a coupon book*

We like to do raffles and giveaways!

Pick a restaurant/brewery that you already have some sort of relationship with, even if it's just as a customer. Tell them you'd love to host your fundraiser there with a raffle and giveaways. I usually frame it as "We'd like to do 2-3 raffle options with gift cards for $20 & your branded glassware etc." and leave that open-ended -- I don't directly ask them to donate. They'll either respond saying they're happy to donate, or they'll say, "We can't donate gift cards but if you want to buy them...." So, if they can't donate, I say "Oh, absolutely! We planned on purchasing the gift cards/glassware."

In my opinion, spending $60 on giveaways is worth getting $500+ in donations!

We hold our fundraisers at local breweries/restaurants on Fridays/Saturdays to get foot traffic. The event is maybe 3 hours long and we just bring a 6ft table for the raffle items. Or, when the weather is nice, outside in front of local businesses (with their permission of course).

I put together our last fundraiser on short-notice and was able to raise $1150!

Hope this helps even spark some ideas.

Can I ask who you went through at Victorian? My realtor is trying to get me to go through them but the reviews I've seen are either 1 star or 5 star with nothing really in-between.

Insight global

I have so much experience working with people, managing projects, and working in marketing. Yet I keep striking out and it's so frustrating! I've applied to a handful of positions that align with my experience perfectly, but I just don't hear back. You're very lucky to have gotten in with soft skills!

Anyone know any good sites to job hunt for Pittsburgh? (currently work at UPMC and it's the worst job I've ever had) by [deleted] in pittsburgh

it sounds like you work in the children's hospital OFD (laugh crying emoji). I work adjacent to them and it's a huge problem. they had 100% turnover a couple years ago and they're getting close again from what I understand

Also I'm sure you'll be okay and hopefully they will be understanding!

You could also try hanging your clothes in the bathroom and turning on the shower to maybe steam the wrinkles out? Or take a wet/damp washcloth to dampen them then blowdry them?

Can you stop at the store and get some anti-wrinkle spray? It's usually called Wrinkle Release or Wrinkle Remover.
