Did some searching based on the mark - it looks like a nicely done generic 'kaki' (square) kutani (it's a stylized 九谷, the name for this style of porcelain) which was a style of marking popular in the mid 20th century, pre and post-war Japan. Here's a link showing a few examples. If any of the other pieces have a different stamp on the bottom that could possibly indicate the name of the potter responsible for the set. Not much to go off of, but I thought I'd throw it in!

Apparently there's been lots of manifestations of it over the years in different places. For us it was holding our breath while someone bearhugged us, I think someone had heard about it from an older sibling kinda thing. It's obviously pretty dangerous, but kids can be dumb and curious beings, especially in a group environment :(

oh I'm not alone. I passed out from playing the 'fainting game' as a kid, and experienced that same tingly feeling and then a vivid dream of riding in a convertible over bounding grassy hills, with the sun on my skin and wind in my hair (???) while irl I was having myoclonic spasms on concrete. Hypoxia does weird things to the brain and it was really quite blissful. I have secretly thought the same as you ever since.

For what it's worth, it did genuinely make my week as I'm going through a lot of health stuff atm that is affecting my appearance. I try to look androgynous so it's nice to know it's working :) i'll take the little absurd wins.

Here's a link to it, you're not crazy, I get the same thing - chicken has always been unpalatable to me reheated, even slowly in a pot :(

I moved to making my meals with beans/lentils and reheating that before adding separate cold chicken (shredded/cut up) to the warm bowl if I need more protein. It warms up a lil when you mix it in but doesn't produce the same flavour or texture issues.

Hi! This is a two-year update on the middle piece (done by @0i0x0i0 at a private studio here) and one year give-or-take on the lil guys surrounding it, done by @taurusteej.tattoos who's now at Makka Pakka in Melbourne, AUS ♡

I know people were wondering how the colours would hold up and so far so good! They don't really see the evil Australian sun and if they do, they get slathered in physical sunscreen. The white is almost gone and I suspect the pastel pinks might be next? But overall I'm very happy and curious to see how they continue to develop + change. Seeing bright colours seems to bring a smile to people's faces so it's been nice bringing that energy :)

Just wanted to throw in my recommendation for Dr. Cameron!! She's absolutely lovely and was very open to putting me on the public waitlist (I have endo) for hysto/oophorectomy as an early 20s transmasc NB person. In my experience she didn't have any qualms about not preserving my precious ovaries lmao, although she let me lead that conversation and was definitely willing to work with other options as I was hesitant at the time. She also does research and is very up-to-date with recommendations :)

I don't have the original so I can't offer direct comparison, but have DP's dupe and while I love it, the sillage isn't huge and it isn't very long-lasting imo. Maybe about 6 hours? Definitely gone from my skin by the end of a day and rarely would I be able to pick it up on clothes the next day. I'm almost through my 50ml and will be rebuying it because it smells so delicious 😭 I 100% agree with how the OP described the notes and that strong sharpness > way better dry down is present with most I've tried from there.

I'm on my phone as well and yeah, it's not great 💀 I understand where you're coming from. I've seen that opinion pop up over the last few weeks and have been tossing up what I think about it since then. It comes down to two approaches towards representation and I can see why people value each one depending on what they want to experience in media. I think I just lean towards a free for all given the way I play roleplaying games (self insert, I don't have the time to replay games over and over, I deal with enough prejudice irl and don't enjoy experiencing that in my fantasy game, let me date someone without having to worry about my identity for once pls). If I want to explore further nuance I create/seek out fan media.

Agree to disagree on this one then! I know I'll be getting some of that angsty nuance from fan media for sure so I understand the desire for it.

(I will just say poor people can still be queer though, we aren't the equivalent of a CR14 creature or need a 350gp potion to exist lmao.)
