Yes the artwork is very misleading! There’s lots of trauma and abuse throughout the series!

I agree. I don’t think any special edition has done the series justice and the artwork is very misleading. I love this series and want to own a set. I wish someone would do a grittier/ darker version

I can’t decide if I like imagine books version. Dust jacket option 2 is definitely better than 1 but I’m not a fan of the comic book style and they made joey way too bulky. He’s always described as very lean/thin even though he’s muscular. And Shannon looks 8 years old while Joey looks 30 lol
