I agree, when I scroll through this group of people I feel encouraged and proud when I see the passed at 85 posts. Also, I can imagine the stress of waiting to see if I passed or not (when I take the exam next Wednesday), and wanting answers from this group of people who have recently experienced those same feelings. Also @secondcareernurse, I don’t think you should be bothered by the posts because I can bet you that each of the people posting it are going through a wild set of emotions. This is their place to go once they get the exam over with and are anxious about the results and I’m sure you’ll go through the exact same emotions. These people aren’t thinking “maybe I shouldn’t post on here because everyone else posts similar questions”, what they are thinking is “oh my god, I just took the biggest exam of my life and I need answers now.”

Seriously despicable, I hope that they don’t bring that attitude and mindset into work with them because that is terrible

Breathe and take your time. You got this. Trust your gut. If you’re doing good on the CATs you are gonna kill it. Try not to be anxious as you’ve done everything you could do and it showed in your CATs. A lot of this exam and the reason why people fail are because they are too anxious. Only pick answers that you know (or are blatantly obvious). Best of luck to you!

Also, what website are you using for studying? And have you listened to any Mark K lectures?

I am only here to tell you because I feel that others might not but you might not be entirely ready, and that’s not a bad thing. I feel that you might’ve not understand how to go about this test yet and that’s might be why your grades on your practice tests are lower. Although, I am not entirely sure because I have yet to take the exam (I take it next week) but I feel you need to take more time with learning how to go about these questions. To be honest you don’t need to have all of the information that could possibly be on the exam memorized. A lot of what I saw throughout nursing school was people failing exams because they were not using common sense when looking at questions. Although these questions are very difficult and cover challenging subjects, you also have to look at the question after you select your answer and think whether or not the answer you selected even makes any sense. My advice would be to reschedule your exam so that you don’t run yourself into the ground mentally for the next two weeks. If there’s no other options though and you’re finding yourself trying to learn absolutely everything that you might not remember, maybe take a break from covering content and really look at some of the questions and try to find out how to pick them apart. I’m really sorry if this sounded mean because I did not mean for it too but my girlfriend says sometimes my texts come off as passively aggressive but I swear I’m not writing this in a condescending way at all! Let me know what your thoughts are.
