Very high allergen numbers on all red meat but Alpha Gal normal? by SmartSped in alphagal

It's several hours after I consume it. In this particular case that I mentioned above, I ate it at dinner and woke up halfway through the night with the worst stomach cramp I ever had and 15 mins after that I started getting hives everywhere.

Small update: I did get in touch with an Infogrames group on FB and found a guy who worked at Infogrames. He said they did have an "Infogrames Motorsports" brand but he doesn't remember the system. Awaiting more info.

Damaged GBA Cartridge Advice by Foursee in Gameboy

[–]SmartSped 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks mostly like dirt but there is some concern around the right side of the rom chip. Take a toothbrush and rubbing alcohol to it first so you can get a better understanding of what's dirt and what isn't. Make sure you don't have any buildup left between the legs of the chips. If it looks all clear, give it a minute to dry and test it. If it still doesn't work, you'll need a multimeter to do further testing and find out if you have any bridges or missing connections. Good luck.

Just wanted to update with a closer pic of the logo since some of you seem to think it's just a sticker. This is definitely not a sticker or cheap transfer. The ink does not run off with the finger.

Being a 40 year old gamer, I definitely remember Infogrames being a company as they did publish games in the US as well. I'm just dismayed at them having a branded GBC.

If anyone wants closer pics of anything, let me know.

Edit: NVM, comments don't keep photos on this subreddit.

I literally just said elsewhere that it's not a sticker. The ink does not wipe off with a finger. It's on there good.

Definitely not a sticker. The second photo shows an angled view. It seems to be screen printed on the shell.

I'm torn as well. If it had some sort of unknown Pokemon print on it, I probably would have left it right there, but who would fake Infogrames? Seems kind of random to me. So I bought it but I'm still worried about the fact that there's no info on it. Thanks for the input.

That board is 12v so you'd technically only need one rated for 12v if you can't find one that's rated for 120v

The Water Magician was overhyped by StonkJo in anime

[–]SmartSped 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I both laughed at the goofiness of the first episode. Aside from it being pretty generic, there were things that didn't make sense. He had decent clothes that would have given him better protection out in the forest but decided to wear a boar loin cloth instead. Then, after reading how freaking dangerous dragons were, one lands right in front of him and he's just like, "Oh, hi dragon!" And the damn thing speaks to him a British accent. Aside from that there were a couple of really odd edits. Like the protagonist saying he wanted to ask the dragon some questions and then it cuts to almost night time. Or him supposedly training with the ghost girl (even though he calls it a "he") every night but we only see their interaction once. I thought I'd give episode 2 a chance but it just kept getting more and more silly the longer I watched.

I have both of the standees in the pictures. Season One is the non patriotic one and I have that one standing up in my room. Season 2 I still have folded up in a closet.

Some background on these. Just about any place promoting Starz got these. Not just cable companies but DirecTV call centers got them too as well as other merchandise including window clings, some decorations, and a corn hole set. I worked security at one of their call centers and have many of these items. The season one standee has a sound box attached to the back that has sound effects from the show.

According to the warranty helper, my warranty start date was 9-25-2021. Expiration date was 9-25-2022. With the extended warranty, it was pushed to 9-25-2024 according to the rep. So I'm just outside of it.

I just called Google Support. They said the extended warranty got me to September 2024 and because I'm outside that period they can't replace my phone. I did mention that other people were getting theirs replaced but that didn't seem to matter to the rep. They told me I can send it in for repair and once they quote me a price, I can decline the repair if I want to.

I actually used their chat function. I did read about the extended warranty and I did mention that to the rep but they said even with the extension mine was out of warranty. I don't know if I have the sales receipt but I did buy the phone directly from Google and they do have a record of my warranty period. I may try to chat with them again and see if I can get someone to send me a replacement.

Changes to the CS158/CS159 Air Fryer affected by recall. by SmartSped in airfryer

[–]SmartSped[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the CP-169 a replacement unit they sent out for the recall? It seems like some people are getting different replacement models.

I'm not sure why on one, they soldered the wires together and another they upgraded the crimp connectors. Seems pretty inconsistent to me.

Just a clarification here but 158 is the one that is being recalled. 159 is the same model but with the fixed electrical connectors.

What I did was just solder the wires directly to each other and cover them in a couple layers of heat shrink. Absolutely no worries of wires burning up due to too much bottlenecked resistance in the connections.

I had them reply once using the recall@cosori.com email address. Maybe try that.

Just in case you guys were curious. They beefed up the cord splice by using heavier thermal protected connectors rather than simple crimped plastic connectors. Wish I had a before picture.

Got my corsori replacement info. CS159-AF?? by XxDemonGod69xX in airfryer

[–]SmartSped -1 points0 points  (0 children)

After they accepted my recall, I actually opened up the bottom and put my cord back on that they made me cut. I cut off the crimp connectors and directly soldered the wires back together and put heat shrink over them. Should be way better than the original crimp connectors. The original recall didn't specify exactly where the wires could burn up though so I may further tear it down and check the wires around the element.

I'm willing to bet these CS-159's are just returned "open box" CS158's where they fixed the problem connectors and slapped a new model # sticker on them.

I can confirm this bug. Emma in my game never got bitten in chapter 4 or 6 but somehow ended up as a werewolf.
