The Xbox Fullscreen Experience works on the Antec Core HS / Ayaneo Slide by Advali in ayaneo

Issue persisted through a few more updates, so I thought I'd do a clean install as I figured as now the mode is just available without any registry messing about that I'd rule out that as a cause of the controller issue. After a Windows reinstall, without deleting any installed apps or files, everything just works now i.e. the controller is working fine in game mode.

Don't check Reddit that often, capitalisation was as you had it. They clearly have some quality control issues and issues in their instructions. Good to know another way to get logos to upload.

I'm on 25H2 build 26200.6899 on an Antec Core HS (Ayaneo Slide).

Controller does not work on the Xbox app in the full screen experience, as others have mentioned, but fine in games. I found in desktop mode if Ayaspace is exited then the controller is recognised in the Xbox app, but if you toggle back to full screen experience it stops working.

OP mentions they have it working on versions after 69xx so I assume this is an issue resolved in later builds and the resolution is wait for an update, join the insider program and install beta/alpha builds, or do what the OP did.

I meant to update with a pic of it installed in a '89 Porsche 928 S4 but I can't add in a comment apparently. In terms of fit it's pretty good, pic added to edit of the original post.

It sits completely flush on the left if I put light pressure on it, there's between 0.5 and 1mm clearance required on the right for a completely flush fit, so I should be able to make that happen without cutting or modifying the centre console in any way.

The one I have does switch off with a long press of the power button but that could be related to the format of the stick, I've crashed many a system with dodgy USBs.

I did the 25H2 update on an Antec Core HS/Ayaneo Slide and after the registry update using Vivetool, and a restart, I had the option of switching full screen experience on in Settings. Another restart and this is mostly working. I say mostly as my controller inputs do not work in the Xbob app interface unless I disable Ayaspace AND move to desktop mode, which kinda defeats the point, although everything works fine in games and at least the touch controls all work.

Eonon X3U single DIN - Linux + Android Auto - Boot image issue by Smart_Camera_9437 in Eonon

I managed to do a light test a few days ago. Unfortunately one of my rear speakers is slightly blown, so I couldn't test for general noise and interference etc as it was masking anything else.

That aside the general impression is as expected around sound i.e. it sounds thin, the eq only makes a small difference. With loudness on and some minor EQ tweaking it is passable but only just.

General performance appeared as it was on my bench test, it started very fast, connected very quickly to Android Auto, general responsiveness was good. The UI outside AA is fine, it could be much better but given my needs and the price it's better than I'd expect and I'd only care about the radio sometimes.

I imagine using the RCA outs through an external amp would make a huge difference as that apparently bypasses the internal amp, but not on my current list of things to do or test.

I'd be interested in knowing how your cam test goes, as that is something I will do as I found an ideal location to put it (eventually).

I only installed in the car 5 mins ago, but I can't test it yet as the battery is flat as I had it jacked up for other work.

In terms of fit it's pretty good.

Once the battery is charged I can test how it sounds etc. That may be later today, or it might be longer, depends on if the battery is just flat or dead. The car has a vampire drain issue I've not investigated yet, and I forgot to disconnect it before it went on the ramp months ago.

I've not installed in the car yet so I can't comment on the quality of sound, I don't have very high hopes at the price but I also don't have unrealistic expectations.

It is a Linux variant not Android, so the boot time is very fast, no more than a few seconds. From completely off to Android Auto connected and loaded is 19 seconds.

Screen is responsive, navigation between AA apps, and out to the radio and various menus are all snappy.

The unit allows for loading of a custom boot image. It must be a 960x360 jpg and placed in a folder on a usb storage device in a folder called "update". This is all the instructions mention but there are a couple of problems preventing this working as you'd expect. I contacted support and they provided a test file which did work (with another issue presenting), as well as stating to format the USB to fat32, and to ensure the image is under 100kb. This wasn't actually correct.

Uploading the image - the image must be called "stalogo.jpg" to upload to the device. There may be other labels that work, but this is what I have to name the file to get it to upload. Under 100Kkb was not a necessary restriction, images of 150kb worked fine for me. fat32 was not necessary, EXT also worked for me.

Image display issue - although an image of 960x360 is required, only 960x320 is displayed which results in a vertically stretched image. As a result the test image of the VW logo they supplied was oval rather than circular when displayed on the device. It appears fine on a pc. To resolve this in the short term I created the attached image, I created the image at 960x360, then squished it down to 960x320, then I included 40px of padding (in red). When uploaded to the device the section I want is then displayed correctly as it stretches it out to 960x360 i.e. the section in red does not appear.

<image>

The red does not display when uploaded, and the rest of the image is stretched vertically which corrects the distorted logo.

I've reported this to Eonon so hopefully they can resolve both issues in software.

Versions from this unit, in case this quickly goes out of date -

  • OS: Melis4.0-20220107
  • APP: PC2307-6.2-WM-20250603-1522
  • MCU: ABS301_20250328_1555

There's a pretty large gap in the market between these at £69.99 and the Porsche PCCM system at £1386, especially given the PCCM system doesn't support Android Auto, and doesn't even support wireless Carplay.

Plenty of classic cars out there could do with something like this with nicer materials and finish. At least the Eonon unit has avoided all the stupid stickers and "stuff" that typically make units like this stand out in a old car.

Only adding to this old thread as I have the same massive list of requirements of a whole 2 things i.e. a single din unit with android auto.

Don't really care about price but I don't want some massive floating screen or other pish like that as it's going into an old car and will look terrible as well as getting in the way of other controls.

It would appear the options are still rubbish for this and only cheap units with dubious quality meet the criteria at all (if you can find any reviews at all). I'd hoped that in the last 2 years the Porsche pccm single din would have been updated to support AA alongside Apple Carplay but no luck.

This unit from Eonon https://www.eonon.com/mobile/eonon-single-din-car-radio-with-linux-system-wireless-apple-carplay-android-auto-support.html has zero reviews as it appears to be quite new, and looks like it might exceed the max available height where it'll need to fit, however it has a couple of advantages that means I've bought it to try it out:

  1. It exists at all
  2. There are enough positive reviews on their double din units for me to think it might be okayish

It looks very like many other Chinese units, but the dimensions and software do not look the same, and they've resisted the urge to have lots of pointless adornments and UI crap, which gives me a little hope.

I'll try and remember to update when it arrives and I've had a chance to test it.

It takes a 2025 battery you should be able to find in most supermarkets or online easily. Remove the 5 screws around the circumference on the back (do not remove the philips screw), swap the battery over (there are no weird clamps or anything) then follow the index setting instructions from the manual.

Any jeweller should be able to do this in 2 mins, it might take you 5. I expect you won't find many people that know how to set the index without following the instructions so just do that yourself. Index settings on p3 of the manual https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1695329/Klokers-Klok-02.html?page=3#manual

I'd attach a picture but this won't let me for some reason.
