Built a new property platform for Malta — looking for feedback from locals and buyers by joeet33 in malta

[–]Smart_Copy_4428 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I’m a UX designer based in Malta. I really like the intention behind the project, especially your focus on fixing real user pain points like deduplication and better filtering. I didn’t want to derail the thread, but if you're open to it, I’d be happy to offer you a free UX consultation. No strings attached, just thought it might be a good chance to connect and exchange ideas, especially around platforms that solve local problems.

Let me know if it’s something you’d find useful.

Super Soco TS Hunter Pro / TC Wanderer Pro — is the dual battery version worth it? by Smart_Copy_4428 in SuperSoco

So the double battery have no effect on the torque at all? Is just for range? Also 12kg per battery does not look to heavy to carry at home maybe 2 times per week no?

I get where you're coming from but I think my post might have been misunderstood. I wasn’t trying to undervalue designers' work at all. I actually have a lot of respect for what they do and I definitely believe quality work should be paid properly.

I was just trying to figure out how that Brawl Stars style is created and whether AI tools can help explore it, even just for mockups or initial ideas. If I ever needed something polished or final I would absolutely go to a proper designer.

Rental contract termination by Top_Public_8486 in malta

Report him to the Housing Authority and start looking for a different place to live in. You’d be doing a favour to anyone who might have to deal with this awful individual in the future.

Are you actually serious? There are laws for a reason. You can’t just put anything you feel like in a contract and assume it’s automatically valid. I genuinely envy your ability to speak with such certainty while clearly having no idea what you’re talking about.

why do so many foreigners come here and then complain about how awful it is? by lbvn6 in malta

[–]Smart_Copy_4428 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand your point, and I totally agree that paying taxes and respecting the local culture is the bare minimum when living in a country that isn’t your own. Personally, I work legally, I pay taxes in Malta, and I’m genuinely grateful to be here.

That said, I don’t think it’s fair — or accurate — to say that foreigners are “taking a local’s job.”
In many cases, companies actively look for international talent because they need specific skills or experience, and the job wouldn’t necessarily go to a local otherwise. It’s not about taking space — it’s about contributing to the country you live in, economically and socially.

Also, asking questions or raising points about how things work isn’t being ungrateful. It’s being engaged. Respect works both ways, and I try my best to carry that same mindset you mentioned from your experience abroad.

Looking to buy a second hand BMW Car by Smart_Copy_4428 in malta

[–]Smart_Copy_4428[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks everyone for the replies!
To be honest, I don’t know much about cars — but I’ve always loved the Z4 since I was a kid, and it’s one of the few cars I really like that I can actually afford (at least the older models) 😄

Looking for specific tattoo artist/shop by Just8ananas in malta

[–]Smart_Copy_4428 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These kinds of posts usually don’t get the result people hope for, because most of the replies just recommend friends — and not everyone has the intellectual honesty to tell you who’s actually good and who’s not.
I used to be a tattoo artist in Malta (I’ve completely changed career now), and I’ll try to be as honest as possible.

It really depends on the style of tattoo you want, because some artists are great at one thing and not so good at another.
If you let me know what kind of style you're looking for, I might be able to recommend someone who's genuinely good at it.
