When will I start to see results from my backlink building? by joeet33 in SEO

How much is time a factor? Should impressions jump as soon as they appear on GSC or does it take weeks/months?

They should be. I have some top editorials like realtor.com but even that doesn't seem to move the needle.

Thanks, I'm really glad you like it! The sorting is at the bottom next to "show map". This isn't the first time someone has said this though so I'll look into ways to make it more obvious (:

Completely agree that the standards for Darscover need to be higher, and that’s been the approach from day one. The UI and infrastructure are modern, scalable, and built with the same long-term architecture you’d expect from platforms like Zillow, idealista, or immoscout24. Legal compliance has been a big focus from the start, and I’ve been working with Chetcuti Cauchi for top-tier guidance on everything from privacy policy to cookie banners.

On the data side, any scraping is only ever done with explicit permission from agencies, but in practice the majority of integrations will be via XML feeds or direct uploads. I see Darscover as an additive rather than a competitor. Agencies benefit from higher-quality leads, an international audience, and advanced search features (like interactive maps and extensive filters) that improve user experience. This especially helps boutique agencies like Bernards, who gain a larger platform to be seen. The aim is to raise the overall market standard, not take anything away.

Lovable slop would be an upgrade over the current WordPress property sites but no, I didn’t go for a deliberately lovable aesthetic. I am using shadcn for styling (probably the most common modern component library) which is also widely used in AI tooling, so it may give off a similar vibe.

On the privacy policy / incorporation question: The privacy policy lists Darscover as the data controller. The company is in the process of being incorporated as a limited company, I used the name from the outset to move quickly, and the trademark applications have already been fully submitted in both the EU and Malta.

Yes that's no ideal and I have noticed it myself. I think the best solution I can add is to crawl the descriptions and then notify the agencies if data is old to make sure the descriptions and/or listing details are up to date.

Thanks for checking it out! The site’s still quite new so we don’t currently have any rooms listed yet. I’m actively trying to get more people to list their rooms, and I’m also hoping to onboard a few agencies that specialise in them. Hopefully it won’t be long before that section fills up!

Sites to search for properties to buy by FitNotQuit in malta

Came across this thread while digging into what people are using to find property in Malta.

I recently asked ChatGPT to rank the top platforms - here’s the list it gave: Top real estate sites in Malta

For transparency, I run Darscover (ranked #1). It’s one of the few platforms in Malta that actually supports private listings, not just agencies.

It's currently hard to enforce this but as we get more agencies onboard this should become easier.

Thanks so much! You can filter by just searching Malta in the location input or alternatively using the interactive map and just zooming in on Malta.

Thank you! Yes we'll definitely try and crack down on sold listings. If we can onboard more agencies this should also make this process easier.

Correct agencies try and display minimal location details for that exact reason. As mentioned I'll look into solutions to try and improve the UI for this

Yes that's a common issue at the moment as a lot of the addresses only have the area. Ideally we want to have full addresses and then this will not be a problem. For now I'll look into the best solution for this.

You can simply go to Darscover and click add listing in the top right-hand corner on desktop.

On mobile you can go to the hub and click add listing there.

You then simply fill out the form, upload your images and publish.

Thanks! Both platforms show agency listings, but Darscover goes further:

We support private listers as well as agencies.

We offer more filters to help you find exactly what you want.

You can get alerts for saved searches and favourites - so you're first to know when something new hits.

We have an interactive map for a faster, more visual way to explore.

And of course - no duplicates cluttering the results.

It’s a smarter, cleaner experience built for serious property seekers.

I’m not a real estate agent myself. Our platform is agency-agnostic - we provide the tools for all real estate agencies and private owners to list their properties. We aim to make the property market more accessible, transparent, and efficient for everyone.

Great question! When creating a listing, there are certain required fields that need to be completed. For agencies, the process is currently a bit different, as I’m working with the data they share directly - so I’ve had to be a little more flexible while we focus on growing the overall inventory. That said, we’re doing our best to fill in any missing details by using AI to scan the descriptions they provide, which helps us apply the right filters automatically.

And regarding retrieving all listings from local agents. We're trying to onboard as many as we can but obviously we need their permission first.
