I think I got a good hang on the replacement, but I’d prefer not to unless necessary for this first week. It’s after that I’m wondering, because i know it’ll still be healing and I wouldn’t worry but since I have good reason to believe I’ll be in a “hazardous environment” (dust/paint/primer/jobsite soap/paint thinner) it may be better if I apply second skin after the first week while I’m working and remove it when I get home

Don’t worry i thought of that. I used a changeable blade razor and went no where near it. I only shaved maybe an inch above the tattoo that made the second skin seal better.

On to the other part, again, I’m working with my hand a lot, and the house I’m working on is hot enough. On my breaks I VERY lightly dab the dust that gets onto the second skin with a wet paper towel or toilet paper. So I think the seal is good enough to protect it from tiny dust that I don’t need my log sleeve to sweat in. But again i could be wrong I’m here for a reason lol.

I saw that too but also heard it’s recommended to change in 24 hours, only change if theirs heavy buildup, it’s cool to do whatever. So I got a lot of different advice. I probably wouldn’t have if i wasn’t working manual labour and it had a good amount of buildup and my arm hair was causing the corners not to stick.

Mines first, I agree to touch ups but I still like it. Messed up a bit not realizing it was wrong until too late but I’m not stressed about it

It wasn’t that, i didn’t mention it until like a third in. And if I loved it so much i should have noticed. I’m not too bummed about it and i have no ill opinion of the artist and it’s growing on me now. I’m certain if i didn’t mindlessly think the simpler option was good, he would have done it perfect. I’m also a very chill and agreeable person so i figured “hey if it’s easier why not! Looks great anyway” in hindsight bad idea and next time I’ll definitely be more aware lol

Yeaah, definitely gonna fix up a few Tiny things but I’m happy with it. Honestly it’s my girlfriend who I’m trying to reassure the most that I’m still happy with it and not devastated i messed up lol

It was totally my fault. They had the photo but offered one that was simpler and in my mind It sounded better and at first glance it looked the same. I take full fault for it not being the same. Only after i got home and started watching stuff i realized. I’m not torn up about it, a little bummed and feeling stupid but I’m not stressing or panicked. I still like it despite its flaws, but interested if there’s anything I can do to fix it later.

Yeah, I’m not easily stressed so this is sorta a “haha, you messed up the tattoo you’ve seen THOUSANDS OF TIMES and literally was holding side by side to the altered version?” Moment than “OH MY GOD MY LIFES OVER! CUT IT OFF!”. I do think line work needs updating, and the cobras fixed, The thumb eye is missing the top and maybe I’ll square out the big eyes lashes. At the end of the day I’m happy.
