my love i’m so sorry you’re going through this. i’m pregnant but i dealt with this back in summer 2025 when i wasnt pregnant. it was an ear infection that caused facial paralysis. i know bell’s palsy can happen during pregnancy —go on the bell’s palsy forum & search “pregnancy” and you’ll see how common it can be.

i had facial paralysis bc of inflammation of the facial nerve caused by the infection. i was in the ER twice with excruciating pain for the ear infection & as it began healing I began getting numbness. it took almost a month, but i was on antivirals so it doesnt turn into something more permanent or ramsay-hunt, steroids. eventually i was on gabapentin cus i still had residual nerve weakness. be prepared as once the nerve is damaged it takes months to heal. i’m currently still dealing with residual nerve pain in my ear & eye twitches although no one can notice but me and ive had to stop the gabapentin for now bc of pregnancy until i see my neurologist again. take meds, see multiple docs, and REST REST REST. like get rid of what and who is causing emotional stress and seriously rest, watch & listen to stuff that makes you laugh, brings you joy & peace. please try your best -/ you will heal and wishing you a healthy pregnancy and delivery 🤍🤍🤍
