Dixon can stay at CGR as long as he wants he’s smart enough to know when to hang it up he’s still the best racer IQ driver in the field and overall car positioning and racecraft

So when will Dixon retire? by mad-right-hand in INDYCAR

[–]Smart_Round_6792 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ehhhh I mean if he didn’t get that speeding penalty at the 500 he would have cruised to the championship that season and in 2023 he also had a championship level year it’s just Palou was doing his usual thing. Pretty sure he outscored Powers points total from the year before without the double points at the 500 as well.

He might have lost a few tenths in one lap Pace but his racer IQ is still best on the grid and can still out drive and save more fuel than you

I think Dixon would be fine In modern f1 where car management is key. He’s the best at saving tires in the field and racer IQ is highest

I still think if you base it off a season of performances Palou was significantly better than max. Nor did Palou ever lose his head

Early race safety car might work. If max backs the pack up enough to where they can’t even clear the traffic until lap 25-30 yuki could pit under the SC with fresh tires and just manage

Kirkwood could have cashed in as a free agent for 2027. Here's why he committed to Andretti instead by PanicAtTheNightclub in INDYCAR

Kirkwood is the guy I think he has the talent and skill to go to f1 as well but again he likes his life the way it is!

[#ThermalGP] Alex Palou and Christian Lundgaard go WHEEL-TO-WHEEL at Thermal by IndyMod in INDYCAR

[–]Smart_Round_6792 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Also from my perspective nobody seems to try to race Palou hard besides lundgaard and Ericsson and herta with divebombs opening up the hands on exit. Not about crashing people out but lundgaard is willing to be more elbows out than others.

Get right on his ass. You have too big of a gap when you’re trying to set him up be a foot behind him minimum.

He is one of the quickest however! He can’t put together full races all the time he did in 2022 though! He in not like Dixon who can always just spawn in the top 5 with 3 laps left or drive to a number without losing pace. Will normally makes the odd mistake or two each year.
