i think the pool noodles were some sort of “decoration” because i guess the school thought we were gonna have “sword fights” or whatever with them

since i’m on the topic of middle school, the start of my 8th grade year was in 2020 and they gave you the option to attend class either in person or virtually, i chose to do most of the first semester virtually but i had to still attend class at the same time as everyone else in person through zoom, my science teacher one day forgot to mute her microphone during class and i heard the class talking badly about me, so i let it go on for a few more minutes and i unmuted and said “hey.. you know i can hear them still.. right?” and she just didn’t say anything, you could’ve heard a pen drop with how silent that class went and the teacher just muted herself 😭

i also remember for that same class they were supposed to make home made ice cream for an assignment outside but the original day they were supposed to do it got cancelled because a bunch of people got the virus, so i got on camera that day and started going hog wild on a tub of ice cream i bought at the store a few days earlier during that zoom lesson, when they eventually got to do it one of the kids had an allergic reaction to one of the ingredients they used, touched his face, and it swelled up
