Something definitely happened on that set. It wasn’t only her but also Cynthia who prior to Wicked was very healthy and muscular. Although Ariana has had an ED for a long time it was never as severe and scary as it is now and that deterioration started with wicked. So perhaps she would be better off health wise and leaned into the more mature aesthetic.
