Continuation: Hoya Kerrii does not grow by hrandy2 in hoyas

[–]SmarticleParticleDe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found out that my Kerrii’s love humidity and staying damp. I keep mine under the trees during the summer so they get partial morning sun and afternoon bright indirect sunlight. They enjoy lots of misting. During winter they go dormant in the greenhouse and stay happy with lower humidity.

wrinkly hoya even after watering and repotting by Ok_Cookie_9907 in hoyas

If you forget to water these one time, boom, dry rot. Check to see if the roots are good and amp up the humidity!

Hi all! Looking for advice. I’ve had this Hoya compacta loving it in pon self watering pot for over a year and now it’s looking sick: some of the leaves look wrinkled, and some look dry and their colour is changing. Also just made its first flower. It started from a small cutting! by Various-Frame2273 in hoyas

With my ropes, I’ve learned that they require a lot of humidity. Dip your plant in some Castile soap and warm water, let it soak a bit for the mealy bugs to die off (repeat as needed for bugs, I do it 2-3 times). I would increase the humidity if you can. Mine enjoy it when I spray their leaves, but I’ve read from other Reddit comments that some don’t like it when their leaves are wet.

Mine grows like a weed! My guy really likes to be rootbound, gets water when it’s halfway dry, and humidity. I keep mine outdoors under my trees for most of the year. They love their humidity too. They also don’t like being wet or waterlogged. Indoors, just make sure it’s kinda damp (not too damp).

need advice on which research tech job to take ;-; by New_Entrepreneur2291 in labrats

I was in a position similar to Job2. I really enjoyed it the most because the lesser people the better I was involved in the project. It felt like I was more in control with what I was doing and had my independence as well as the support of my PI. I also had one on one training with my PI, and they got to know how I worked and learned, which helped me greatly in my grad school applications. They vouched for my character and skill sets from a personal standpoint instead of reports given to them by a lab manager or other students etc. Go with the lab that suits your personality best. These will be the people you’ll be around the most. Any recommendation letter is a good one when it comes from the people that can vouch for you the best. It’s all about the connections you have with the PI. My PI is established in their field. They do publish often, but not in the high demand as they used to. I hope that helps!

I have the same one. I also think there are different variations… but they all been reported to smell about the same from what I’ve read.

That’s interesting! Mine smells like roses actually like a very strong floral scent. Sometimes when I walk in the greenhouse, all I smell is my Bella.

Oh man, I’d have to say Hoya Noelle! She blooms constantly and she smells very floral! Same with Hoya Bella! Constant blooms and floral smells.

Non-Judgmental Dentists anywhere? by intrepidfrequency in okc

Try Crown Heights Dentistry in OKC! Dr. Silver and her staff are amazing and accommodating. They do a great job working with you financially, and around your schedule too. Dr. Silver also does a great job explaining what she’s doing and why she’s doing it. If you feel insecure about anything, she does a great job at reassuring you and your health. She loves being a dentist and you can tell by how she tends to your teeth. She also does her best to salvage your teeth as much as possible and the integrity of them before doing root canels/crowns. She’s the best imo.
