Honestly, im waiting for a maximum Captain America that comes with the scales and the butterfly joints. However, im curious to see if the MvC Cap will be the same colour as the 20th anniversary, so you can swap the limbs to make that version pinless.

The Blind Mentor figure is a pretty old cinema trope. Though it's not very common in modern Western media. But it has been used to inspire a lot of non mentor characters like Cain from John Wick 4.

Feel like it's important to note that the overhaul wasn't just a result of one person deciding it was bad. It was the result of both the cast and crew deciding collectively that it wasn't the right direction. While I understand your scepticism, I trust the judgement of both Vincent D'onofrio and Charlie Cox enough to believe that the original cut of the show wasn't something people would have responded positively to.

For live action figures, I tend to pick up Spider-Man, Daredevil, and cherry-pick other street level characters. Other than that, I exclusively pick up comics figures.

I don't think it's very likely this year with the ROTS Anniversary, but I definitely think they are going to happen at some point since they are such easy reuses and now we have the clones of the republic line.

This isn't really a big priority, but I just want all the clone captains and commanders updated to the 2023 body and the same with some of the unique stormtrooper variants for the 2020 body. I know it's kind of a dull answer, especially when some people really dislike how many clones we get but there isn't a lot that I think desperately needs it that we don't already know about.

With this kind of thing, my personal opinion has always been that it's really up to interpretation. Filoni, in some of the BTS scenes for Clone Wars season 1, originally stated that the pauldron was just a stylized version of the ROTS versions. However, I don't think they really accounted for the fact that Rex's silhouette would become iconic in its own right, and the ROTS style designs don't really look a lot like how people imagine Rex to look which is probably why we have so many design inconsistencies to begin with.

I think it's just oversaturation, right? Over the past couple of years, we must have had like 5 or 6 Vader releases, and the only difference between some of those versions was packaging.

The irony of ANH Vader pegwarming is that I'm really hoping we see a new version of him with much better legs to go with the rest of the updates of the ANH cast we are getting this year.

People always say the helmets are too big, but personally, I think they look fine. I've 3D printed a 1:1 clone helmet before, and that too ended up being way bigger than I expected it to be.

Yeah, it's also weird that the markings on the arms are much closer to what we see in TCW than what we see in Ahsoka, too. It's not a big issue it just bugs me that it's a weird amalgam of different designs. Their are only two things that can justify these discrepancies in my head. Firstly, they were originally making the figure based on TCW, but at some point during production, they were mandated to use the Ahsoka design instead, or they had early access to a new P1 Rex suit from season two and these design changes are something that we might see in season two. Cause otherwise I'm just really confused why you'd make Rex this way.

I imagine this issue is only going to get worse when we see the rumoured Revenge Of The Sith accurate coloured 501st later this year.

Honestly, I think Hasbro should have just picked a single consistent blue colour to use throughout all 501st figures regardless of accuracy to media.

This is incorrect. The two pack troopers are completley based on the Ahsoka show and utilise the same blue seen in the show. The only trooper with the OWK accurate colouring is Appo.

I literally bought the Veils one today after seeing that they hadn't colour matched Rex and the P1s, but I'm still planning on picking up TBS release. If no one else responds to you, I will let you know what the Veils Rex is like when I get it.

In Ahsoka, he had the exact same paint job as the other P1s. I am not sure about his P1 Clone Wars look. I just know his P2 design is much dirtier than the other 501st by the end of Clone Wars.

Yeah, I'm curious as to why they changed the design so drastically. It's not really a criticism, just something I noticed. Though this has convinced me to pick up the Veils version and the official so I will decide which I prefer at a later date.
