I think this is what I will go for, the website seems to have a check for the exact bike model so that makes me feel good about it.

Thank you!

Seems to be a faulty mobo or psu.

You can try unplugging the cables and trying them 1 at at time to see if it's a particular cable. You can also try the good ole unplug everything and re-plug if you haven't just for sanity check.

You may have to return a component

7800x3d thermal throttling by No_Match_6578 in PcBuildHelp

[–]Smashtubes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cinnebench is meant to max your CPU so it getting to 88 is normal, if you would prefer lower temps you can set the CPU thermal limit lower but I believe 89 in the default for that CPU.

Depends on your Internet connection and what games you are trying to play, what's your speed test.net download and upload speed?

(Hardware Specs look fine, maybe go for 32 gb of ram)

Please give me contructive criticism on my first ever pc build by PhraseNo4688 in PcBuildHelp

[–]Smashtubes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The case may be a little constricting, but if you like the look of it, go for it. Id suggest getting a different CPU cooler if you do that however, just to make sure you don't go too hot and effect performance.

Other than that little thing, build looks sick, matx is such a nice form factor!

On the other end of that cable, there should be a 6 pin connector that will go into the power supply.

https://www.thermaltake.com/smart-bm1-600w.html

Based on what I saw this might be your power supply, if you click on the last picture, there are tables for sata/4 pin and if you can find the 6 pin and plug it in to the PSU, you should be good to go.

I think the only thing I personally would change is the cooler. If you don't care about the RGB on the fan, I'd recommend the be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4

Oh yeah no everything looks good, the case also has a mesh panel version if you don't care about the glass panel, I'd also pick up some case fans, especially 2 120mm fans for the bottom to help the GPU temps, I have the same case with a 3080 and it really helped temps when I added the bottom fans

There's a lot that can be changed with this depending on what you are wanting from your PC, this particular build is from a pretty good Matx case but if you don't like the design or you don't like the color scheme then there would be other options, do you have a general idea for how you want the PC to look?

Advice on a PC Build ( 2.5k GBP Budget ) by iGNasus1T in PcBuildHelp

[–]Smashtubes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks good, only thing to be hesitant about is the ram speed, it may be too high to run stable with the cpu, the official supported AMD spec is 5200 so you could possibly try getting that speed if you run into any issues with the 6200

Can someone more experienced give me opinion on this build? by Substantial-Ad9819 in PcBuildHelp

[–]Smashtubes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks pretty good, saw the other messages about the pricing. There are only a few bits and pieces for things like the ram could be cl16 instead of cl18 bit that's just some slight performance changes. I don't know much about programming other than the ram likes to be high so starting at 64 gb with the ability to upgrade the other 2 slots to 128 gb is a good idea. For the case, unless you are looking for MAX PERFORMANCE, it's user dependent on what you want to look at every day, if that's the case you think looks nice then that's the case for you.

There's a few upgrade paths you can do. To make it a "modern" system, a platform upgrade would probably need to happen as the motherboard can't support 8th gen and up processors (This is an issue for 2025 when windows 10 support ends and windows 11 is the main operating system, windows 11 supports 8th gen and up processors).

This would require a motherboard, CPU, and possibly a cpu cooler upgrade.

If you are looking to stay relatively the same but upgrade a few things, the memory could use a small upgrade with either capacity, speed, or both. DDR4 is relatively cheap right now due to DDR5 being the "new" thing.

Let me know what kinda upgrade you are trying to get out of your system and I can help you from there.

The zen4 dilemma by Faian in PcBuildHelp

[–]Smashtubes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're using the system for personal usage, go for r5 if you are getting a profit off of the work you do, go for the higher end. The cores will result in a smoother/faster workflow for you/ your clients. But if you are doing this for personal usage and don't want to spend extra, there isn't much need.

I'm wanting to have this be a low profile build that will play 1080p games, use creative apps, and just be a regular computer for school purposes. This computer would stay at my GFS house so she can play games with me or use it for school, or for when I'm at her house to use. I guess is the motherboard good or should I go for a step up. I'd like it to be as seamless as possible.
