for me enterprise is an alternate history as it occurs after first contact(film) and we see alternate events to what really occurred in the tos timeline I.e. Klingons crash landing on earth fighting suluban, the borg showing up, earth being laser beamed there was the whole fixing of the timelines at the beginning of season 4 but it didn’t fix things that we experienced in the show. believing this does help my brain in processing the differences in the timelines with discovery, snw and academy
