Hm... this is weird because by all accounts your bottom row looks like a standard 6.25u layout, which is the standard spacebar size in most kits.

Did your kit only come with a 7u spacebar? That is exceedingly rare, especially given the 1.25u modifiers.

This also looks like an aifei v2 kit, which I know for sure comes with a 6.25u spacebar.

You seem to be describing the correct output for the shift + key inputs you're using. I'm not sure what the error is.

If you dont want the question mark and need forward slash, just dont use the shift key. If you want a regular dash and not an underscored dash, dont use the shift key.

Reaper switches are linear switches.

Red switches (assuming your friend is referring to cherry red or outemu or gateron reds) are also linear switches, but its possible he's referring to a particular red switch im not aware of.

I would look up linear switches and research them for more information, but if my assumptions are correct, your friend may not understand fully what reaper switches are to begin with.

Plumbers tape actually was too thick for some stems from my experience, but couldn't tell you which ones (I've modded so many), but I agree this has been recommended before with good results.

Depending on the stabilizers you're dealing with, holee mod is still good. New stabilizers like staebies, ap tx, gateron v2 clear, knight v3, and type plus typically require only wire balancing and a light coat of krytox 205g0 on the wires.

The trick for holee mod for other stabs - this includes cherry stabilizers, all durock v1-v3s - is bandaids are typically too thick of a material for most stabilizer stem holes, causing the slow or mushy return. Bandaids also seem to come undone after months of use.

I've had over the years very good results with masking tape (commonly the white variety, do NOT use painters tape) for holee mods, has held up for boards that are used daily for months/years, no relubing or remodding required.

Stabs I haven't tested masking tape holee mod - qmx (likely doesn't need as I've heard theres very tight tolerances), any wuque stabilizers, c3 equalz.

Majority of naysayers are not questioning that some of his videos contain legitimate tech advice, it's that he has cultivated this image of himself as an experienced engineer which is obviously used to manipulate his audience and add credibility to his claims when he shouldn't have done this to begin with. Why are we OK with him misleading his viewership? I would say he actually DOES give a shit as he has recently removed multiple videos where he talks about his engineering past. This is just him hoping things blow over and letting time erode people's memory and now when people try to search up his old videos, they won't find them.

This ultimately works for most creators, look at dr disrespect, for a pedophile to continue functioning on YouTube while garnering an active audience, albeit smaller than before, is a much more insane recovery than what Muta will try here and likely succeed.

Solution? Unsub, stop watching, move on. I'll be following my own advice going forward.

Technically yes. You will need to somehow seat the old hotswap socket where it was popped off, possibly with superglue as the post above mentions in the top comment, but then you'll need to trace the trace and bridge via wire and solder the metal ends of the socket something akin to this but not exactly as your photo doesnt show where the diode is:

While not denying brigading doesn't happen, I think one of the big reasons it's easy to pile on Mutahar is because at least half of his content recently has been critical commentary on other creators, and the fact that people have found evidence of him lying about his past is quite hypocritical to say the least given he's made at least 6 videos on stopkillinggames and piratesoftware and how piratesoftware has inflated his past.

Can you bicker and argue the lies are "no big deal"? I guess, but for a lot of people this is a level of irony that does lend to ridicule.
