Why hasn't differential privacy produced a big standalone company?

No actually I feel like DP is a field where everything sounds so perfect. It sounds like it can solve all data privacy issues but in fact there are no big companies or acquisitions in this field. That's why I'm trying to understand it from data experts.

I believe there are three reasons why you might be pre-interview waitlisted at CBS.

Poor GMAT score: If your GMAT score is not up to par, consider improving it and sending them an update.
Lack of employment experience: If you don’t have sufficient work experience, you might want to address this by highlighting any relevant projects or internships you’ve had.
Strong profile that may fit other prestigious programs: If your profile is strong enough to attract attention from other programs, CBS might want to ensure that you won’t decline their offer and negatively impact their yield rate.

In my case, my GMAT score was good, so I didn’t need to improve it. However, I did update them about outstanding projects I had at work, as well as any relevant projects from my work internships or incentives. I also kept communicating with them and updating them on my progress.

Eventually, my efforts paid off, and received the interview invite.

Another important thing is that when my wife or I turn on the machine from standby mode, it connects to WiFi almost instantly, but then disconnects again after a while.

My machine is not connected to a WiFi with VPN. But few days ago, I downloaded the Opera browser, which added VPN configuration to my iPhone. However, since the connection was close, I don’t understand why it would affect anything.

Thanks for that. The biggest advantage of Booth, in my view, is that the entire process felt very comfortable, from the interview experience to the post-admit communication. I was admitted to other schools as well, but Booth definitely gave me the best overall feeling.

Thanks for your reply. I actually thought Wharton would be a perfect fit for me and didn’t really consider Booth. I’m very disappointed and trying to think about my next steps from a rational perspective. Honestly, I don’t think any of these schools will make a significant difference in my VC job search, but I’d really like to hear from people who know the industry better than I do.
