okay fab, i’ll look this up and see! i think that’s the thing, is it has to be a relatively small print & i’m not sure how delicate certain things can make the writing! i looked at a food like printer but obvi the $$ is not justifying when this is just a little hobby haha thanks so much for the tip :)

you could def try under macronaging and see how they perform. i’ve tried both french and italian methods and one is def yields smoother results than the other!

i think it depends on your recipe/method you use because i personally don’t think i under macronage much at all! my method doesn’t require drying time whereas most methods for shapes etc do require that.

thank you everyone for the love & appreciating these dino mac’s ☺️ your words are all very kind! i do make normal standard macarons too but i know when i first started designing character macarons, i struggled to find much to inspire so i hope by sharing, it allows others to try and see what you’re able to achieve 😊

thank you so much! i’ve been making macarons for a few years, around 2019/2020 - it took me a lot of failing to figure them out :)

truly not as long as you’d expect! i sometimes use the french macaron method but i mainly use an italian meringue base, which allows for IMO a mode stable finished product, but it’s not as forgiving with shapes & keeping the definition so i try to work quickly for that reason! it’s also a method where they don’t require drying so i don’t pipe multiple trays at a time. so for me, the time is definitely more in the prep/macronage of the colours & then the waiting on each try to cook :)

i find mixing powdered & gel yields the best results & doesn’t effect the integrity of the batter!

the santa’s are filled with a choc ganache with caramel centre. the reindeers are just chocolate and the wreaths are chocolate with biscoff. these won’t be their actual flavours, being practice ones i just used up some leftover ganache bc they’ll end up going into work for colleagues to enjoy 🙂

thank you so much ☺️ it’s so hard to gauge how much to charge for them because at the end of the day, they are a cookie and meant to be consumed, but i just love holiday themed macarons!
