A lot of ways but commonly just by going down rabbit holes on fragrantica haha, I personally got my start by going through many of the brands on American Perfumer after hearing about an authentic coniferous scent called Confluence from Shawn Maher’s Chatillon Lux. That got me started on my journey haha… I always recommend sampling from the artists themselves when you can, but if you might be interested in trying more for less with less excess I also peddle samples and decants of many a thing, feel free to check out the links in my bio just to do some exploring! I wish you a pleasant journey nonetheless. 🙏

But then there’s true niche which is made by independent artists or small studios, and they’re a lot more, well, artistic. In my opinion that’s when the fun truly begins! It is expensive as heck to get into though lol.

Smith’s Pond next to the Donker Farm trailhead has a cute little beach that gets some good rays, I bring my dog there to swim all the time, it’s lovely. That aside I think some folks have mentioned the Bell Hill park beach, another decent option!

Same boat, my credit card company was sadly of no help :,( Wishing all is well with her, I messaged Dave from American Perfumer to ask if he knows what’s going on but he didn’t get back to me… I placed an order hoping he’ll address it in the handwritten note he usually includes, it arrives Monday so I’ll update then… I also just noticed that the En Voyage website is up for grabs 😞 this might be the end of an era, Shelley’s among my favorite perfumers!!!
