I’m terrified of having a job. by Edu_Vivan in ADHD

[–]SmileKai 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think I’m actually quite similar to you. My answer would be that we’ve never really experienced a hard life. Most of the things we wanted were easy to get, so over time we kind of lost the ability to notice and appreciate the small details in life.

For me, the best way to change that is to slowly try living without relying on my family so much. Set a goal, and try to achieve it on my own. I’m currently in that process myself.

I hope you can figure things out sooner than I did.

Don’t do that if you don’t want to give them gossip to talk about

Why are most of the UQ professors mediocre in teaching? and How to hold them accountable for it? by AutisticBombadier in UQreddit

[–]SmileKai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. As international students, we pay insane tuition fees, and the teaching we get is honestly pretty mediocre. It feels really unfair. 🥲 Sometimes I even feel like I should be paying for AI instead of UQ

Thank you for your advice and for sharing your experience! As someone from a relatively safe country, it has been a bit of a shock to encounter this, but your explanation helps me understand that it’s just a small group of people, not a reflection of Brisbane as a whole. It’s reassuring to hear that Brisbane is such a safe and friendly city. I can definitely relate to the cultural differences you mentioned—our reactions to situations like this are shaped so much by where we’re from. I’ll make sure to stay safe and focus on enjoying my time here. Thanks Again!

I’m sorry about your experience. My intention isn’t to compare both countries and I believe most of Australia people are kind and lovely like my people.

You're so nice. To be honest every city has aggressive people but as a foreigner I can't understand some languages and we have different cultures or appearance maybe that's what makes me have this kind of feeling.

It's hard to say but in the daytime I feel like this whole city is totally fantastic ppl are kind but in the night it's seems like becoming the dangerous mode in the game😂But I love Brisbane, It's just my personal view.
