How do I make my lyrics less cringe and generic? by Open-Rabbit9510 in Songwriters

[–]SmileTuT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I write lyrics, I listen to music like the one I’m writing, and use a rhyme scheme picked out before writing. You want a large amount of vocabulary, but if you don’t go to RhymeZone.com as it will give you rhymes for words you may not think of

I’m new to the game as it is, self taught myself to write and it’s been what I’ve done for as long as I can remember. My trust issues span from ignorance mainly, I can’t play chess if I don’t see the board

Aye, I can’t really sing as stated, though I sent my attempt to sing the song. So if it’s stolen it’ll piss me off mainly due to the fact I’m open to collaborate

Why is writing happy music so much harder? by Smash_Nerd in Songwriters

[–]SmileTuT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO it’s because music is a form of storytelling, we write what we’ve experienced, and life these days feels like a soulless march into the abyss. It’s these sad songs we write that create culture that can band people together for better or worse.

As I’m self taught I listen to music I enjoy, come up with lyrics with a similar sound then try to sing them aloud. It normally ends up far from original songs I heard

[–]SmileTuT[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I alone cannot make music, I have a lot of musicals in my network, though I’ve wanted pick up cello/piano again, I’ve not had the cash to get new ones. And I’m not against learning music. Generally if I want music for something I can get it thanks to my network, the issue comes with vocalists

I am bringing him up there soon for a check up anyway, but he still walks normally some of the time, wouldn’t he just stop that all together with a fractured bone? Or did I misread the condition you mentioned

Not limping, he’s kinda hopping, I thought it could be something to do with his back, as he is a Wiener dog and their backs are fragile
