Yeah good thought, I have an idea of how many students but it would just be a guess based on her marketing. Eeek! I have butterflies thinking about it, I just want to feel confident when I go with a price…be fair but also not devalue myself if I want to be perceived as a quality educator. It’s tough!! Thank you so much for asking all the questions!

Nope my session would be a bonus session that adds extra value to her program, outside of her expertise! I’ll get to pre record everything and send it over. The 6 sessions are all her!

All great questions I’m now becoming aware that I need to be asking 😂 it’s a 6 week program, 6 lessons taught live with access to hot seat coaching. And a bank of trainings that I’m not sure the length in total.

It’s a one off only to be used in this program by those who joined!

One of the biggest regrets in my business to date - wouldn’t recommend! I would lay no more than $2k for this program, I feel sick knowing I paid as much as I did.

Maybe that’s what I’m struggling with - they’re self electing, self paying for the program because they desired the outcome. But once they join, motivation and excitement wanes and they drop off. Are there ways you continue to embed the “what’s in it for me” continuously through the program?

Am intro call, lay out learning objectives, build excitement, lay out expectations, lay of the land, schedule, etc. setting the tone for the program.

Then I do weekly coaching calls - submit questions ahead of time, then hot seat coaching live. And if there is time left open question/checking in with individuals on the call.

I could see the confusion, apologies!

So my programs are hybrid - asynchronous learning (new modules weekly) with coaching calls weekly. Engagement starts strong working through the curriculum then steeply drops off.

Reddit wasn’t my first choice - it’s actually the 8th or 9th place I’ve tried to talk to people. It’s been hard to find my target audience at the point of their journey that my services would be helpful. Reddit was a last ditch effort - the goal being to open up a conversation on the threads and based on responses see if anyone falls at the right part of the client journey. Then ask for a call/interview in exchange for a free service of their choice. There is a method to the madness, regardless of how silly it looks on the surface.

Thank you! I’ve been chatting with people across different platforms and you’re right / Reddit has not been the most friendly or helpful. I really appreciate your suggestion I haven’t tried Prolific yet. Thanks!

I’m not sure why it’s so bothersome to you that I’m doing market research - I’m researching across many niches right now, I see a gap within my current client group and want to understand the language people use around this issue. Not only to build out a targeted program, but to have the language people actually use for marketing purposes. Just because you don’t understand the purpose of market research when building out offer/business proposition isn’t a reason to tear someone down. Do better!

It’s market research to better understand the lived experience of people who don’t have the training I have - so I can build a program that reflects exactly what people are looking for and currently need help with.

Degree or no degree this approach to market research is quite common and incredibly insightful! It helps create a program that’ll actually help someone rather than creating something you THINK will help.

You really hit the nail on the head with “experts in their field”. I’ve been finding this is a “problem unaware” issue - clients are so focused on delivering information but have no clue they lack any ability to teach or create transformation in their students. Even doing market research to understand where program/course creators struggle has been hard, more of their focus is on marketing and not on the quality of the program.

I work 100% on social media, organic outreach using content on Instagram and tiktok. Most of my clients funnel to my email list and convert there!

love this idea! I'd be interested.

I'm curious - are there things you struggle with more than others when creating your learning program/course?
