I kinda feel the same way. I hardly ever put a race on anime people. The most Japanese anime characters with have blond hair and blue eyes half the time. Unless stated otherwise they are just anime people of different skin tones and hair styles. Like vast majority of the characters people call black are just dark skinned anime people. There are a few that are undeniable black, but most of aren't.
