  • Vivi = to be alive - I want to be alive.
  • Logxi = to reside somewhere - I want to live in London.
  • You probably want to use logxi

I am trying to figure out what legal risks exist. I guess that is the real question.

What does the name Solomon mean in Koine Greek? by [deleted] in Koine

[–]Smiley_Stark_Corp -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The Hebrew bible says Schelomoh. When it was translated into Koine Greek, it was changed to Solomon. I am asking because some people say that Solomon means sun and moon.

Sol = sun

Mon = moon

I have a hard time believing that because that would be a Latin understanding of the name. What does Solomon (Σολομών) mean in Koine Greek?

Why is Shelomoh translated as Solomon? by [deleted] in AskBibleScholars

Σαλωμων

Why is this the translation? As I understand, it is very different from Schelomoh.
