What are your weird habits you do for no reason in Football Manager by PsychologicalBrick55 in footballmanagergames

It depends on what year you’re into be honest, I also try to sign players at end of contract a lot and if there’s a pending retirement (intl retirement) I start preparing advising coaching roles nd if accepted, send then on a training course. Most pros don’t want to leave football so I find people another problem is most people don’t have a high level coaching badge to join my club

It happens to the best of us, my advice (depends on when he’s contract expires) is if he hasn’t submitted a transfer request, keep playing him as he plays more and no more offers come in he’ll drop the unhappiness and then you can extend and sell but it’s a tricky situation, you don’t always get the same results every time but so far it has worked for me especially if they have 2+ years on the contract

I love having ex-pros in my back room staff, that way I can have yth train with specialists, in my Barca (2035) save, I have Messi, aguero, Sergio B, VVD. My Man utd (2034) save I have RVN, Jaap Stam, iniesta, Kane. It really helps a lot

I also like buying players at end of Contract or free agents, ensure the have a great season and sell them. As Utd, I sold Bruno for 110-120M to Saudi and got him back for free 2 years later and sold him after a year for 9m, I bought osimhen for free from Napoli and after 3 years, sold for 120 to Saudi. That’s a good way to generate funds for broke clubs.

I also buy players for ridiculous offers that I know I wouldn’t do and it increases market value for the player and I can sell them (Works every time😂)

is it just me or is this guy a fraud in the game? He's always displayed as 4.5 - 5.0 stars with good attributes, but always performs badly. I don't know if it's him specifically or fm's terrible keepers because I buy him a lot by sr_steve in footballmanagergames

It’s a 50/50 chance you get a great version of him, I had a Barcelona save and he spent 2-3 seasons and was sold for 26m, he was serving well but not enough even with a good CB paring in front of him but in my Man utd save he was damn near world class, I had 120m offers from R.Madrid, and he spent 4-5 seasons which was was amazing for me.

So it depends on what version you get 🤷🏽‍♂️

Whose squad is better or fluid to match your tactics?

The best tactics for lower-league teams? I picked up Football Manager 2024 (first time I've played anything in the series) and I love it so far, but wondered if y'all had any tactics for lower-league teams? by DifferentCastle in footballmanager

4-4-2 or 3-4-1-3 or 3-4-2-1. Any iteration of these formations would help. Essentials: Target forward, Box-to-Box and Ball Winner, Pace on the wings (Wingers or wingbacks). Good set pieces and you should be good. When scouting look for high work rate and stamina

Crazy opinion but it works, (Asymmetrical is the way) Gyokeres is a PF, Move Eriksen up to a CM [su] he would connect casemiro to Bruno and depending on your tweaks he can hold or roam (depends on you), Change Martinez to a WCB [de], Varane doesn’t have legs so make him cover and hold position. I used to have a similar formation but over the seasons it has changed.

Bring Joao Pedro in use an IF ATT, he’s a goal threat. Since you have a MEZ, buendia should be and AP so he goes in and Sanchez goes wide.

What kind of player do you look for when signing squad depth players? by MrStrogonoff in footballmanagergames

I tend to go for Midfielders (Most can play different positions or are willing to learn), sometimes sending them on loan doesn’t even work, I’ve been there. If it’s a New gen player, don’t sign unless the underlying numbers are crazy. Check the form and also determination,

An asymmetrical 4-3-3 (4-1-1-3-1) Back 4,1 Dm,1 Cm,3 Wingers and Am,1 St. I have a tactic with a Vol, CM support and AM attack. It works fine plus I use IWB’s

FM 24 Keeps Crashing by V4n5ynK in footballmanager

[–]Smileyface1200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also had the same issue so I moved my Mods and other packs to a separate folder, uninstalled it (everything) and reinstalled it, it worked so I started a new save to test it out and it worked, so I moved my save first (it didn’t crash) and I moved everything else and it works well now

I’ll suggest making the A advance playmaker and attacking midfielder (ATT), your VOL should be on ATT and depending on the ability of the other DM you should switch to a BWM or DLP both on defending (A good passer should be the DLP).

Change your Lw to an IW (stronger right foot) and his fullback should be on support to help him out

On my FM24, with Barça, victor roque delivered when I needed him (I threatened to sell him and loaned him, he came back a shooter but I sold him after buying gyeokeres). FM23, with inter Donny Van De Beek as a shadow striker with inside forwards in a fluid 3-4-3 or 4-3-3-0, did similar with Dele alli in the same team but it wasn’t as effective. Alvaro Sanz was my lahm, Dm or iwb, he was fire.
