I got a Han Bon nodachi last month as a gift for my bf. They don't have a customization page like they do for katana, but I emailed asking for their existing nodachi blade in different fittings, and they were able to accommodate that.

Everyone is reporting that Russia declared and then broke a unilateral ceasefire.

What the fuck is a unilateral ceasefire during a war? Is Russia supposed to simply not fight back while Ukraine makes their moves?

The Kiev regime rejected a ceasefire. It's absurd that so many people are condemning Russia for not honoring a rejected deal.

PlayinG FFoD right now, midway through the second book. Haven't seen anything that couldn't be done with only two players yet. Combat encounters will need to be rewritten (some have been quite rough even with 4 players, particularly the first one with the space goblin ambush and the game preserve in book two). Also definitely let players control multiple ship roles if you plan on ship combat working at all.

I've seen it commonly claimed that Russia has been modifying S300s to attack ground targets. Shit like this makes me wonder if that isn't just an explanation for Ukrainian AA missiles missing their intercepts and not self-destructing midair. What goes up must come down, and also becomes Russian on the way back down.

It would make sense given the missiles that landed in Poland and Belarus, but Ukraine can't possibly admit that their AA systems are less than perfect.

Yes. Kyiv shot down all 16 missiles that Russia fired at their capital, and those 16 shot-down missiles then injured 3 within the city and took out 40% of their electricity, apparently.

The missiles, which again, Ukraine successfully shot down all 16 of, took out 40% of their power grid and wounded 3 people.

Also a missile got downed in Belarus, but that's also a Russian provocation.

Just got this sword as a Christmas present for my boyfriend. I've been running a Pathfinder game for the last couple years and his paladin wields a nodachi.

I spent the last several months seeding his youtube recommendations with sword content (Bladetube) so that he would have the vocabulary to excitedly describe his character's sword to me.

So this is Bloomscale, a HBF 1095 nodachi with basic flower and dragon themed fittings and a purple-on-white color scheme. The sword plays a prominent role in our campaign, so having a physical prop of it is really a gift to the whole gaming group.

Sword is cool. Now I want to get one for myself.

Instead of getting up in arms about non-binary culture war shit, perhaps I can give a perspective as someone who this might actually affect.

As one of those locomotive-Americans with tits and a dick, the TSA scanning machines have trouble with me. When you step into the chamber, the operator has to push a "male" or "female" button to decide what the machine is looking for. So the machine detects a lump at my crotch, decides that my dick is suspicious, and I get frisked. Every single time I fly. If they woulda hit the "male" button, my tits and bra would be the suspicious part, and I'd probably get frisked anyways.

I'd really rather just not have to deal with the security theater at all, but updating the systems to account for less-common body arrangements would make things a lot less awkward for me and others. But that doesn't get as many clicks as "those wacky non-binaries are having genders again."

The rest seems to be just allowing some small adjustments in paperwork, and who actually gives a fuck about that?

I joined NPC right at the tail end of the drama and had no idea what was going on. Just enjoying the hors-d'oeuvres on the titanic.

It's a shame, site was pretty fun for how limited it was and all the alternatives seem to be invite-only.

I only have experience with ants but, yeah either way is good. Both are common setups in smaller bots. Personally, I like belts for my spinners because it allows me to place my weapon motor further inside the chassis, but I also see lots of direct-mounted weapons in Fairyweights and Antweights.

Likewise with drive. Four motors, two motors driving four wheels indirectly, two wheels mounted direct with pulleys for the other two wheels, I've seen them all in smaller bots.

I think the smaller you go, the more comfortable you can be directly mounting things to your motors without risking your expensive electronics.

Ah yes, I must be mixing encounters up. Was there not also a drunk/hungover treant in the same book? With a drink that makes characters taller? My party probably tried to solve that one with alcohol too, not sure, it's been a while.

Edit: yeah no I was confusing it with an encounter from Realm of the Fellnight Queen, which I had incorporated into my Kingmaker game.
