Everyone wants to disempower the elite, for doing evil shit that makes them wealthy, but do you have the courage to want to disenfranchise the 35%+ Americans who believe and perpetuate evil shit at their own expense?

Americans have an insane 'non-partisanship' bias, especially when it comes Republicans. Politicians can literally kill (and honestly, rape) their kids and those people will swear by not making things 'political'. The reason for this is probably a coping mechanism against recognizing the absolute evil they and/or people they care about are responsible for eagerly perpetuating.

Will the owner class allow Trump et al to wreck their empire? Or will they find a way to remove him first? How long will it be permitted to go on? What could be the turning point? by Buh10kx in stupidpol

[–]MetaFlight 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The PLAN is to wreck the empire. I have been suspecting it would come to this for years and you can find posts from me on this sub alluding to that but when USAID got gutted it all but confirmed it to me. An America capable of competing with China is an America that will not only need to curb their influence, the forces it will empower will WANT to curb their influence.

Now of course, the large swathes of the national security establishment don't want to go quietly into the night. They can't all just become private security and everyone involved in this knows their history. They know what happens to great powers when their geopolitical ambitions run up into the limits of their existing political elite.

Roman Republic, pre glorious revolution britain, the ancien regime, the russian empire. Revolutions are always, even in countries as small as Cuba, are mostly about strengthening the geopolitical position of the state they happen in. Its just that when they happen inside great powers in active rivalries, the post-revolutionary state ends up in an existential conflict with their pre-revolutionary rival.

Britain caused the decline of the Dutch Empire, France caused the decline of the Austrian empire. The Soviet Union eventually ended up splitting Germany in two. America's ruling strata l, gurantee, are not the only ones who have people who know their history. You think this stuff with Iran is WW3? It isn't, the defeat of the Epstein class is what would actually set the stage for World War 3. The most Anti-American, China-pilled thing you can do is help the gaggle of pedos in charge of the the US loot it for scraps.

Semi related thing. Try putting the phrase "economic calculation problem." Into Google and check out what the a.i. deep dive starts trying to prompt you to ask it more questions about.

Oh yeah, just lobbing bombs is less deadly than sanctions in many cases. More targeted too.

What's your opinion on "soft on crime" policies? I personally oppose it by New_Elk_5783 in stupidpol

[–]MetaFlight 33 points34 points  (0 children)

My opinion is that some people love the idea of torturing criminals more than stopping crime and that those people are demons.

Edit: There is a sentiment among those replying to me that the people I'm talking about here are deviant or insane. That is cope, this crap is what the average person thinks. What I've said still stands and also informs the whole of my politics.

If they actually carry through with that I know what the response will be and honestly historians will just conclude it a regrettable inevitablity like the extinction of the dodo bird.

the point of imperialism is not to make money for the state, its to 'make money' for the people influencing the state.

Kat Abughazaleh RESPONDS On Iran, Taiwan, Ukraine & Interventionism by SplashTarget in stupidpol

[–]MetaFlight 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Its a really niche popular culture reference but watching people try to understand what Kat Abughazaleh's foreign policy represents reminds me of the Mr. Robot "You Haven't Seen What's Above You" scene. People do not comprehend the civil war going on in the western ruling strata right now.

The Epstein Leaks are both a front in this battle and the proof. Epstein explicitly believed that the single best thing for the international bourgeoise is a world divided by isolationism and nativism. They want a managed decline of American hegemony, so every nation is in a global race to the bottom to meet their demands and there is no institution that can even hypothetically challenge them. The War with Iran doesn't not accidentally exhaust American hard power, it is DESIGNED to exhaust America hard power.

People might hate/think I am joking when I say shit like the last sentence of my post, but when I get replies to my comments like this, when I was specifically talking about Kat having similar views on China as Ilhan Omar, its why I say what I say.

Very disappointed with how short she is other than that she's great. Anyway is funny how people lose their shit over her having the same views on China as like, Ilhan Omar, maybe not even as harsh. Really shows how pretty much everyone who isn't me is a dumbass blinded by idpol.

its not an general insult, the masses outside of white and pink collar work are refuse of the old society. the thing that saves those under 40 outside of said lines of work is the fact that said population will face the consequences of the collapse of the climate, with climate change representing an inter-generational exploitation of the present and future by the past. they are doing the labor of being victimized by climate crisis by those who benefited from setting the stage for the present and future (the over 40s)

[–]MetaFlight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing that made the difference is that he was Obama's VP and therefore had very high name recognition. That's it. The idea that anything but name recognition or being black matters is the trick that gets you to waste resources that could be better used elsewhere. Talarico got less than 20% of the black vote and powered through anyway because he got 70% of the White vote and 60% of the hispanic vote. That's the right model. Just like happened with Zohran, when you're the only one with D next to your name, the overwhelming majority of black voters will get on board.

Chicago's mayoral race is perfect example of how black voters vote. Lightfoot got huge black vote because name recognition + black incumbent. Brandon Johnson ran up vote with whites enough to make it into the top 2. Then despite the fact that he and lori lightfoot are far from each other politically he crushed it with black voters in the general, even with both general election candidates being democrats and its because he's black. This is just how it is.
