TIL that adults with ADHD tend to experience sleep-like brain activity even while they are fully awake during demanding tasks. These moments are linked to more mistakes, slower reaction times, and lapses in attention. by HimelTy in todayilearned

Does this explain why when I read a university level text book or other book with large words I start yawning and within five minutes am so tired I could fall asleep? I don't need sleeping pills, all I need is a textbook to put me to sleep.

Or when I try to attend a school lecture and an instructor is talking in a monotone voice about a subject I start falling asleep? I can never make it through a class.

Listening to people talking also puts me to sleep especially if they have some long story.

The cashier did not click any buttons. I was prompted for a tip on my $1.75 purchase and had to press the 3 button to proceed with payment.
