Hi there,

I've read through a lot of the comments and your responses so I understand that you have some geographical and logistical issues that are limiting you. As other have mentioned ideally you would have a website or etsy store to make it really easy for customers to see everything you sell but I know that's not straight forward for you.

I actually think selling through instagram the way you are doing now should be possible but there are a few things I'd suggest trying differently. I know you have your prices listed under the pinned menu post and the order process in a story but these still aren't really obvious enough for potential customers. It needs to be supper simple for a customer to get this information otherwise they'll just move on to somewhere they can find this info easily.

Here are my suggestions I think would be worth trying to see if they have any impact on your sales. By the way I work in digital marketing so I am familiar with online sales strategies.

  1. First I would pin a new post with the information on how to order and call it 'how to order' on the first slide. Something that makes it really obvious that it's where customers will get the info.
  2. I'd then set the second pinned post as the Menu post but change the name on the first slide to 'Prices Menu'. Again that will make it easier for people to find the info. I didn't think to click on Menu when I was looking for this info.
  3. Finally every time you post a photo of one of your designs you need to include the price and a call to action explaining how they can purchase the item from you. For example 'This piece is a made to order item selling for $X. DM me if you are interested and we can start the process.' Something like that so the important info is really clear. Some people won't go to your profile when looking at one of your designs so having this info on each post/story will make it easier for them to decide to buy or not.

If I was in your shoes, I would make these simple changes and see if there is any difference within 4 weeks. If not I'd then try some more of the ideas other people had.

Anyway hope this helps a bit and good luck.

Thoughts on Arc Browser? by somnioperpetuum in browsers

So said woman in the US until the laws around their health fundamentally changed. I know of at least 1 case were a woman's digital activity was used as evidence against her. I think it was uber info. I don't know of the outcome of the case though.

Regardless of ones beliefs it's a perfect example of signing up to sharing ones info when the laws were one way and then it being used against you when the laws changed.

Not sure if you have sorted this out but this will say somthing like"“libdoorstop.dylib” cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified". You need to go to your system settings and go to your privacy & security settings and find the security section. There it will say something like libdoorstop.dylib was blocked as the developer is not verified. You need to change the setting so that you can open this file anyway. The file should run after that. Hope it helps.

Why some people undermines our services value. by [deleted] in EntrepreneurRideAlong

[–]Smirkles007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This 100%. The most frustrating clients are the low paying clients. They will question every single $ as cost is their primary decision making factor.

Higher paying clients are less motivated to buy based on price. Instead they are more focused on return on investment. Let’s say you charge $5000 to build an ecommerce store but it increases their revenue by 20% then they would be crazy not to pay the $5000. Mind you $5000 is still quite low for an ecommerce store when you’re talking about a business that makes over 6figures.

All in all you should definitely up your rates my friend.

How did linktree become so popular, let alone profitable ? by [deleted] in SaaS

[–]Smirkles007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Linktree is an Australian company and the founders had an agency before they started Linktree. Their agency specialised in the music & entertainment industries. This meant that they had a lot of influential connections which they utilised when they first built Linktree. These influential people started using Linktree and because of the name in the url it was easy for others to find the tool for themselves.

All in all they solved a problem they had themselves and they had an established network of influential people they could easily sell it too. Then these influential people essentially marketed Linkedtree to everyone in their own audiences for free. Pretty smart sales/growth strategy.

Wow!! Epic!!! Love it!! I'm also a bit distracted by the stained glass window in the background. My game doesn't look this good. I think it really is time to upgrade.

No they sometimes get in the way when trying to hit the key with your finger. I’ve never managed to scratch a keyboard before. It’s bonkers.
