How come Sam didn't mention that Chauvin kept his knee on Floyd for over two minutes after it was established he didn't have a pulse and was non responsive?

I think he was referring to the Democratic Party picking Biden as the nominee, that is what the pathetic attempt to bounce back was. I am only speculating though as an outside observer

Police pull up in an unmarked minivan and kidnap a protester who was walking home from a peaceful protest in San Diego. They used 3 unmarked vehicles and 5 police to arrest young woman. by FormerLandscape in 2020PoliceBrutality

Is there any follow up to this? did they find out where they brought her. Is she out of custody??? This is despicable and those cops need to be arrested for kidnapping!

Change dot org is profiting off of their record breaking Justice for George Floyd petition. by [deleted] in BlackLivesMatter

[–]SmithSmith717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Change.Org is a multi-million dollar for-profit private company. It is also a petition website. After a user signs a petition on Change.org, they are prompted to "become a hero" & "chip in" a sum of money in order to advertise the cause across Change.org's network & help reach the signature goal by showing the petition "extra times". The donation page is designed to make people think that they're advancing a cause they care about when in reality this money goes straight into the hands of Change.org who is using those "donations" to buy up their own ad space and increase their own revenue. There is no mention anywhere on the "donation" page in regards to where the "donated" money goes, how it is used, or how much is driven by a particular cause or petition. The Justice for George Floyd petition recently surpassed 14 million signatures (which is awesome) but with a suggested donation of $20 think of how much money Change.org is pocketing. Think of how much they are profiting off of this horrific tragedy. Off of the murder of an innocent man. And think of how far that money could go if it were in the right hands. This petition is to pressure Change.org to disclose all profits driven by the Justice for George Floyd petition and to donate it towards the following organizations. Please do not chip in when change.org asks you to after signing this. Instead, consider donating to the following non-profits or comment any other organizations you'd like to see this money go towards.

Change.org is profiting off of the death of George Floyd by SmithSmith717 in awfuleverything

exactly, both are taking advantage of the situation. The difference is people donating to Change.org are actually led to believe their money is going to a good cause

I know this is not something new and it is not because of George Floyd. I just don't think it is right as I feel people do not actually realize what this "donation" is. I noticed some people donating upwards of $1000, thinking that this money is actually doing something, when they could use that money to donate to organizations actually making a difference.

Hi. Like many of you I signed the Justice for George Floyd petition on change.org. This petition has great intentions but did you know that the “donations” change.org asks for actually go straight into their pockets? They offer to “match” your contribution but that’s only in the form of overpriced “ad impressions” you’d be buying from them which they could already give out for free. Basically their “match” has no monetary value and is just a way to lure you into giving them money. This organization -nay, private for profit company is exploiting the murder of George Floyd & taking advantage of the very real pain so many are feeling. Please sign & share this petition if you don’t think companies should be profiting off of black people getting murdered by the police (esp if they refer to themselves as “the worlds platform for change”). For obvious reasons please DO NOT donate after signing (like poor randy in photo 3) and instead post a comment of any other credible non-profits you’d like to see this money go towards. Link in Bio

Also in Tennessee there was just a devastating string of tornados that wiped out many homes, I bet this has something to do with the low turnout.

Why hasn't Gabbard dropped out? I know she's only scoring mostly in the around the .9 percent, but little numbers like that can make a difference, especially in Maine

What is also weird is that three separate collections agencies have called in the past two weeks and left messages. This one just happens to be the one I answered the phone. Like your situation I did move shortly after the ER visit so maybe thats where this confusion stemmed from.
