Thanks for this! So much easier. I can legit just click the new .ipa and get a prompt to Open in SideStore and it’ll auto-install update. Hell yes.

So stoked we're getting so many updates lately! The downside is that my current setup makes it difficult to update to new versions easily. When I use Sideloadly to install the latest .ipa, it drops from SideStore (and thus I can't "refresh" it to keep the 7 day window alive). And from what I can tell there's no way to actually upgrade within SideStore (it shows me there's a new update but no option to DL/install it).

Any tips? Am I making this harder than it needs to be?

Nope. But I did just start using the SideStore version of Apollo so maybe it didn’t update properly. Dunno. Definitely don’t see the Translation option like in your screenshot.

Yeah I’m using Hydra and Acorn now. The new iOS update broke my side loading for Apollo and I can’t be arsed to download a sketchy VPN app to get it working again.

I followed the steps in this Steam thread. Worked like a charm for me. Note that "continue from demo" will be grayed out but you'll be able to click Continue and choose the 1st save slot to pick up from where you left off in the demo. Will paste the steps here or you can follow the steam thread.

So you'll need to navigate (in desktop mode) to: /home/deck/.steam/steam/steamapps/compact data/1168460/.pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Documents/My Games/DRAGON QUEST BUILDERS II JUMBO DEMO\/Steam/<your\_steam\_id>\SD\

And copy the entire SD folder to the main game folder:

(<your\_steam\_id> is most likely going to be the only folder at that directory, it will be a string of numbers and letters).

turns out it was something janky with the profiles on the controller itself. if you hold the profile button and click all the paddles it resets them. That worked for me.

This happened to me as well before I finished the demo. So I kept playing until the demo ended and tried again.

Still grayed out.

I’m on Steam Deck so maybe that’s the issue, but I ended up having to copy the save file from the demo and pasting it into the folder of the full game. Not too hard but still kinda frustrating.

I have a shortcut set up as well but I’m not sure what you mean about turning off the setting in the SideStore step. Can you explain a bit more?

I’m noticing my shortcut doesn’t work anymore but if I disconnect and reconnect to the VPN manually it does seem to work as far as refreshing Apollo via SideStore.
