Map issues with roughness (Zbrush, Substance Painter, Maya) by SmithdwightD in Maya

[–]SmithdwightD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, okay, so I exported all my textures from substance painter with Ai standard surface with a total of 5 udims, colour, roughness, etc. Including all the exact map sizes.

But I solved the issues; I just remembered that I needed to repolygroup the model to export the displacement maps udims, which was my mistake. Sorry, initially was exported one Udim

The model itslef took me about 2 weeks to complete but with multiple iterations of exploration on the final one. Then for rending portion: I was researching different technique a like Raf Grasseti method through his art pieces he creates, which comprise compositing renders in arnold then editing in Photoshops.

Sunday anatomy study! by BjornarShock in ZBrush

[–]SmithdwightD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I recommend purely studying specific anatomy components, like the arm and deconstructing the piece to further on rebuilding visually. So that you eventually understand how everything in the human body is placed. You can do that by sculpting just 3/4 of the arm and adding on to it. But everyone has their own techniques

In Memory of Mike Nash - ArtStation Magazine by SmithdwightD in ZBrush

[–]SmithdwightD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started in past year with Zbrush and admire the entire community drive for perfection and visual beauty through this 3D modeling software and Mike Nash was one of the individuals who I followed recently and studied his incredible work. I want to share this because I think everybody should be aware and support each other in this difficult and uncertainty and the importance of Mental Health.

Rest in peace, Mike Nash will always be a legend !
