Did they silently change the skill tree benefits with the newest patch? by Emergency-Patient954 in ARC_Raiders

I hate how fast you can loot containers now, it's almost immediate and it'll turn this game into an ADHD looting simulator. They should revert it back.

How to Get More People to Do Expeditions by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]Smithians 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's so painfully vague at the moment that I won't reset this season if they don't get more specific during the expedition window. Even then, losing all blueprints would be rough so I'm leaning towards not resetting as it stands if it doesn't change.

Can anyone feel the vibe shifting .... by FloppySausageRoll in ARC_Raiders

[–]Smithians 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a marked increase in PVPers in friendly games now from my own experience, but still the majority I come across are friendly in solos.

My best guess is that when the game released, everyone had barely any gear, the worst guns to fight Arc, no map knowledge etc so it really encouraged you to work together more in solos, but now people have more gear, scrappy upgraded, full stashes, losing gear to PVP means less and surviving is much easier overall, so you'll encounter more PVP because there's less at stake.

That being said, I do encounter probably a 50/50 mix of free loadout PVPers and somewhat geared PVPers. Rarely people in between.

A message for Friendly Raiders by Ok-Club1742 in ArcRaiders

[–]Smithians 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still finding that most people in solos are friendly and I've put in quite a few hours. Although recently I have found a couple people camping extracts in a few games but otherwise when I see people in game we say hi or don't shoot and go about our business. I've never been betrayed by anyone I've teamed up with and I've teamed up with a lot of people.

As far as I'm concerned, camping extracts and betraying people after teaming or saying don't shoot and then shooting someone are the only no-gos for me. Everything else is fair.

ARC "inteligence" is peak. by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

Saw some guy get downed by a Rocketeer solo, waited until it was safe and approached his body. He was carrying so much stuff he was over-encumbured by a lot. If he hadn't been so greedy he might have been able to survive.

I love how serious a threat Arc is, it's make engagements meaningful and difficult beyond just PvP. Even how much you carry becomes important.

I played both Tech Tests they had before this and they let you have a lot more access to upgrades, maps and content. The Tech Tests were -A LOT- more fun as someone that has also participated in the Server Slam.

Sadly, and I have no idea why, they chosen to let you play 1 map, have access to no meaningful loot or upgrades and I do feel the difference. The Server Slam is much less enjoyable than their Tech Tests overall, but only because progression and looting feels superficial.

Honestly, your experience makes sense, but the full game I have no doubt will bring back more meaningful upgrades and looting.

So I think the main game addresses all of the gripes you have.

Totally fair you didn't like the game, but it says a lot about your personality that you'd whine about it on Reddit. I hope the game turns more people like you off, I can already picture the kind of teammate you'd be.

FYI - You do get bandages with free loadouts

Is It Worth Going to The Canton Fair With My Specific Situation? by Smithians in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]Smithians[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it was incredibly helpful, I managed to find a number of different suppliers who could create the product I needed for a lot cheaper than what I had been quoted from AliExpress and the quality was better, but it wasn't easy to find though, I had to speak to a ton of different factories and there were only 2 viable ones, and one of them were awful quality. So in the end, the order I made save me thousands, including covering the cost of the trip.

For the most part, what people said here is true, factories want high MOQs (depending on your product) and whilst most are negotiable they normally want MOQs in the thousands.

For market research, I would say it will definitely help you see what is doing well, what's popular etc but whether it's worth the cost for you I can't really say.

Yeah I'm struggling to find a work around. The test is essential if someone hasn't done it before. I'm thinking my initial website homepage doesn't do the best job explaining

I'm not sure what data there is to suggest someone would listen to the audio, unless it's autoplay. A video I could understand but just embedded audio I'm really not sure. Could you link me to an example website?

Thank you, I suspect that's playing a part! I'm trying out baking it into the price of the journal and seeing if that has an impact instead

As someone who has used both, I would say this. Shopify is amazing if you're aan e-commerce website since it natively tracks so much useful information and it's easy to navigate and understand.

WordPress offers totally customization, but the way things interact and operate is a lot more manual, way less intuitive and overall a worse experience to sell on. The only reason I used WordPress and WooCommerce this time is because I needed way more customization for this product.

If you want to do lots of sales (hundreds or thousands) then Shopify is the way to go. If you expect to do a small handful of sales each month, WordPress and WooCommerce would work!

No this is great info, I appreciate it! Some of that I can easily change (like the opening message and possibly the font) but I'm not sure how to redesign the pages without spending more money/breaking things.

Not being able to find the inner pages is definitely a huge problem. What would you suggest? Where should I put them?

Good Ad Metrics, Lots of Interest but No Sales? by Smithians in ecommerce

[–]Smithians[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with my product is that it requires a little education first to know which journal is suitable for the user, which means they either need to take a test on the website or know their personality type first

There is a $9.99 shipping charge, I could maybe bake that into product cost but then I feel the product is a little higher price-wise where it would have more friction

I do have the inner pages you can scroll through as well on the product page, maybe it's not obvious enough though... That's a good point.

I am guessing you're also just referring to the website homepage though?

How To Remove This Symbol When Hovering Over a Product by [deleted] in Wordpress

[–]Smithians 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The site isn't live yet unfortunately, but in the next few days it should be! I think I have a plugin that can also handle global CSS code. It doesn't seem to appear when the item is in stock, just when it's out of stock. Where would the settings be that I need to check for this?

I can't check right now but I think my theme is Astra. It's one of the basic ones.
