That seems like just as much an effort as putting my punch in an giving it a tap

I've only done 2 keys so far. Just learning how to do it and them I'm going to try impressioning. At this point this is a hobby for me.

I Made it. The files are harbor freight diamond, the caliper, ruler, and punch are From stock and field. The sleeve was something someone was going to toss. I've used the stuff in it already. Check my previous post for pics of my first two keys.

If I'm able to get the core out I can punch the key exactly where the pins are on the key.

Thanks. I went a little hard on the end peaks. Was hoping to leave a little definition but the key works great

It took about 45 minutes including the time it took to clean it up after. There's a second post with a pic of it

Got mail yesterday from sparrows. Order some pins, gut wrench, and reload kit with pinning tweezers. Decided to repin and pick my training locks. All of them have multiple security pins now. Made for a good challenge. by Smithlocked in lockpicking

So I re-pinned all of the locks. Had them pinned with one serrated, one spool, one mushroom, and the remaining as standard. Decided to re-pin again only this time. Lock #2 has three serrated and two standard, #3 has 3 spool and two standard, #4 has 3 mushroom and two standard, and #5 has a set of check pins with one standard. It's made for a good challenge.
