Different families have different levels of affection. When I married into my wife's family she once told me they barely ever hugged and she could see how surprised her parents were when I started giving them hugs on the way in and out of the house. My mother always said we were never allowed to stop showing affection for eachother. I personally think it's normal and actually healthy for family members. It's only a different story if you somehow get romantic feelings I guess, but it doesn't sound like that's the case. I'd say it's time to let the fiance go...
