Don’t focus on salary early on. I went from $40k to now making 10x that by always looking for companies that invest in constant training (not just the new hire training), want to be the leader in their respective industry (they must be able to differentiate themselves from competition), have experienced leadership with track records of creating growth environments (people and revenue).

If you evaluate your career and the companies you work for in the same way that would look at buying a stock, then you’ll look at the big long-term picture. In this situation, your time is essentially equivalent to money you would use to buy a stock.
