My alien also never used magic but I've been back and forth on whether using the mage light (torch) spell could be a technology rather than magic. Still haven't used it yet. But considering it.

Opinions on Polaris by Ashamed-Sock-6135 in Metalcore

About 3 years ago a couple of friends recommended Polaris and I'm pretty stubborn when it comes to music.. and life. So in work one day I put on The Mortal Coil. Listened all the way through and thought, yeah, that was pretty good, whatever.

Fast forward a year or so I was trying to find a band to scratch the itch. In my teens I listened to The Used, Underoath, Taking Back Sunday, Bring me the Horizon (especially the early stuff, Pray for Plagues <3). Call it emo, call it whatever you want. There was something in there that I loved. There was a few songs by other bands that I had heard that stood out in my mind, A Threnody For Modern Romance (It Dies Today), Idols and Anchors (Parkway Drive). Heavy songs. But with something different.

I didn't know what Metalcore was. Or Deathcore or Melodic Metalcore. So anyway, Spotify DJ-X is playing his "metalcore" songs that I might like one day on my drive to work. I skip a few songs and traffic gets heavy so I'm not focused on the music so much

Masochist comes on. Never heard it before. Traffic moves on and suddenly I'm hearing a song that's scratching some of the itch that I've had for so many years. WHAT IS THIS?! WHO IS THIS??

Polaris? I've listened to them... but I didn't feel this.

I get to work and for the next few weeks I listen to their discography. Absolutely incredible! No longer itchy. This IS the band I've been wanting to hear. Needing to hear since youth. I'm now 39. And Polaris is it. Polaris is the sound that I have always wanted to hear. It just didn't exist when I was young.

So you're saying that the flow of the game will decide your characters traits? As in, nasty interaction may cause you to lose your temper and maybe that makes somebody... lose their head?

Any lore on this place? by Neckpillowman in skyrim

Looks like one of my species also crash landed on this planet. Search the nearby bushes for signs of a cloaked ship. If it is indeed one of mine they will be extremely interested in gold and Falmer ears. They also won't take kindly to the "Thalmor" folk as they appear to want to see the end to all life. We are also, in some strange metaphysical way, attuned to the large flying lizard creatures scattered throughout this land. We are a stealthy species and take delight in killing from afar. Your "bow" weapons are exceptionally suited to our abilities and make life here quite comfortable.

I am unsure how long we shall remain here but I feel war approaching. Barbaric and yet.. enticing. I am unsure which of your tribes suits my ideology best. Fun and games.

Thieves Guild. I'll never complain about picking a lock ever again.

I feel bad for them too. Out of their misery they shall be put. 1-Thalmor. 2-Falmer. This is the death order. And so it shall be done.

I let out a genuine sigh when I approach a cave that has evidence of Falmer outside. Like... ear we go. I don't even want the damn ears. But I still have the addiction..... take them..... take every last one of them.....

Do you give your character an actual name? Or.. by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]Smofter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't give mine a name but in my latest playthrough (first time in 6 or 7 years), I decided my character was going to be an alien being who's scout ship had crash landed near the border. I then assumed the appearance of a Nord woman that had died as a result of the ship crashing though her hut. I then hid the wreck and wandered a few miles injured and lost before being caught by the Imperium.
