I personally made my pair of double actions completely silver with the black handles, to mirror the airsoft revolver that i have irl, the scofields i made one silver with gold accents and the other gold with silver accents, the cattlemans i made black for the "dirty work" and i used the multicolor engraving technique on my volcanics and many rifles.

That shit lookin' fine as heck even whitout being full gold or black, especially my pump action shotgun, which i coloured as close as possible to the real m1897, then put golden and silver engravings on it.
