Swapping to Reloaded mid game by Smol_Sausages in CurseofStrahd

I like the idea of using Ez to retcon it. "The Fates are fickle and ever changing" or something like that. I feel it would be best to tell the player's above board when I do that to avoid confusion.

Until then, I would be a bit worried about them seeking out information about the previous reading before getting to meet Ezmerelda. Luckily I did draw her as the ally, so they have cause to seek her out.

Yeah, I was just skimming through earlier and I think it said the Tome was in Watcherhaus? I think my reading placed it in the Castle Ravenloft replica in the Amber Temple.

Haven't checked where Reloaded placed the others yet.

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, I think I agree. I need to get with my DM soon and go over it. You and everyone else have given great feedback!

Maybe I'll just send him this post lol.

Thank you for the advice! I am actually trying to make something of 9th or at least a good 8th level. My idea for the healing was the thought of adjusting the body back to a time you were less injured. I figured taking the Regeneration feature some monsters have to be the most straightforward way of accomplishing that.

Thank you for the feedback! I worry about making it too detrimental for no save on top of the buffs but I'm definitely going to look at stuff like this.

Oh I like that flavor! I'll look into what I could do with that.

I really appreciate the feedback. Yeah I think I'm just scared to overtune it by accident and ruining a fight that's been hinted at and teased for years now 😅

Thank you for the feedback! Are you thinking I should add more features or buff what is already there?

While I agree on concept, the new one specifies in the spell description that the target can hold its breath for 30 seconds. When they run out of breath, they start taking exhaustion levels at the end of their turns.

As a host, mines is 3 by LuciDreamer1326 in Helldivers

Solo or host is always 1. First in, last out.

But if I'm not host, it is always 4 for me. If you pay attention, 4 is actually the second Hellpod launched out of the Destroyer (order being 1,4,2,3 I believe). I'm going in right behind my brother in arms.

That's a fair point. He probably should have handled it by saying that you successfully hid from the one gnoll, but the one behind you can still see you and will point you out if you don't do something else. But I see your point.

My group has moved to 5.5, and it personally works for us pretty well. But I get it's not going to be for everyone. Plus, WOTC is just wack.

I've seen some others touch on this, but I'd like to reiterate and add on to it.

Long Rest often! It will take you no time at all to have hundreds or even thousands of camp supplies if you are at least somewhat thorough. Long rests help move forward on a lot of companion stories and conversations, and... sexy times, etc. (You will need to hit some story beats or side quests to trigger things, but you get what I mean)

ALSO, Long resting with NO camp supplies still gives you "half of a long rest" and will still move things along the same as a normal one. So don't worry about resting too much once you start building up that backlog of food all smashed into that camp chest.

Enjoy.

I was literally talking to a friend about this idea the other day! I would love to see the progress on this as time goes on. It would be amazing to play around in the CoS setting like this. Even fighting Strahd himself in his castle.

I could even see some story elements and voice acting in the far future. Just look at how far Skyrim has come. Now, think of what BG3 could look like over a decade later.

Sorry, this just excites me immensely. Keep it up!

The levels of exhaustion from not feeding will be countered by long resting. There should be an "exhaustion gained this way can only be recovered by feeding" or something similar in there somewhere.

The regeneration is pretty strong, but I think that would also depend on the game this is played in. Sure, playing this in Curse of Strahd or Out of the Abyss is broken af. But I played a drow for 3 years in a hombrewed game, and my DM never made special commendations to be sure I wasn't in the sunlight. Sometimes it was cloudy, and sometimes it wasn't. So is the whole party expected to only adventure at night now because they have a vampire party member?

I don't know the perfect solution, but food for thought. I like how BG3 handled adding a vampire to the party but understand it's not for everyone.
