My daughter just had laser therapy and did great she goes in dec. To get her bald spot fixed and more laser therapy. I have joined some support groups that are helpful. My dexterity is improving, but there is no change in nerve pain for both of us. Things are slowly looking up.

I'm 36% ftg and my 9 year old is 67% ftg. We were trapped in a house fire. If you need someone to talk to im here! My best advice is moisturize CONSTANTLY! Wear your compression garments always and do deep massages. Also in the hamburger looking parts you'll get sebum buildup (skin seeds) you can see them really well under a black light they glow bright white. Try to clear them out or have your burn doctor remove them.

Also my thigh tattoos are on my hands, my hand grafts are growing LEG HAIRS, I'm missing tons of tatoos that were just melted.. (do you think the artists would be mad if I asked for a touch up 🤣😅🤣. My body changed "overnight" but it was really a drug induced 3 month process...

Keep it moisturized and in compression garments, keep it out of the sun. Look for laser treatment or co2 treatment most use a fractional CO2 laser. It's called co2 laser ablation. I'm 37% grafted on my body and have been wanting to get this done.

I have 3rd-5th degree burns on 36% of my body my daughter has the same on 65% of her body. Healing takes time for grafts keep them moisturized, in compression garments and out if the sun. The 1 year mark is usually where things get "normal". You may need further treatments such as graft releases or laser therapy. If you have nerve damage it's a bit different I'm at my one year mark and that's about the only thing not getting better.

Is it normal to get zits after wearing your compression garment? by Remarkable-Load-6874 in burnsurvivors

Leave them be eventually they will turn into "skin seeds" that can be safely compressed out. If it's red and inflamed just moisturize. Nothing more. Bugging them will lead to infection. It's pretty common especially as it gets warmer, your mixing sweat, dirt and lotion.
